Is there a rep. for the ppl. who were controlled on 3 OxyContin OC a day, who now suffer and have proved the new OPs DON'T WORK? NO MATTER WHAT PURDUE OR FDA SAY? We need a rep. for us chronic pain patients, who were controlled and NOW SUFFER & CAN'T DO MORE THAN LAY IN BED CRYING.

I don’t want anyone to die. Programs for the addicts need to re-evaluated to find out why they fail to keep people from slipping back into using. Pain medication that was prescribed to me was “ the answer to all my problems” according to my doctors 10 + years ago. Then the tides shifted and the opioid crisis became a fight against prescription medication. Honestly if a doctor told me all the possible side effects of fentanyl I Never would have started to use it. The truth is it kept me a functioning member of society with a full time job. Before taking these medications away, a plan needs to be put in place to change patients over to something that can manage the pain with less complications. It looks as if they are looking to flip a switch and cut off all opioid prescriptions.

I was on Opana ER for a short time in December 2017. My Doctor insisted that I stop Fentanyl on Dec 26, 2017 and start Opana ER. It did nothing to help; I tried for 2 weeks. I felt worse at the end of the first week than I did in the first few days which was the exact opposite of what my doctor had expected. I even took the DNA test using the cheek swab to try to find the best medication for me. The test cost me $250 because my prescription plan would not cover it. The $250 was the cost the company offered for “the poor”. If it cost more I would not have agreed to the genetic matching. After 2 weeks of pure hell, with the help of my psychiatrist, my pain management doctor gave me a prescription for the patches. Soon after I heard Opana ER was taken off the shelves of the pharmacies and was no longer being produced. I don’t remember all the details but it was found to be dangerous.

I was taking the generic Opana they stopped making the brand as they people found a way to abuse Opana. But the generic was my god send but it was taken away and only give a very small dose of Percocet so again desperate for help. I am in Virginia and I will travel as far as the doctor will accept. If you know a dr please let me know. I will help any of you anyway I can.

I need politicians names, emails or address who r involved in this awful mess. I am not electronically inclined so if someone could put me in the right direction either DEA/FDA, congressman, manufacturers, etc. I will get my thoughts out and try to somehow get us heard. Appreciate any advice.

I need a name and address. I can start there and keep movin forward. This new plan gov't came up with will not work. The street dealers r in a good spot they no if chronic pain patients will get it from them. This whole scam of trying to now control medical field. Unbelievable. I am very pissed that people in awful pain have to also deal with it and have awful quality of life but do u have time or why should we have to research these meds and have anxiety cause we might not b able to fill out justified scripts. It's too much bull and lies. I feel we r not free to choose anything. Please try get me a name and address. Sue

They quit making Opana. Guess why? They found a way to break it down and abuse it. The generic is Oxymorphone. I found it because I could not get brand paid for. Even the generic is over a 1,000 for 30 days. Try the generic. I do not get it anymore. My doctor retired and my new awful doctor took it away. I get 15 mg of Percocet a day.. does really not much for me. I am stranded on my couch as I have back neck leg issues. I live in Virginia and would travel for a decent doctor.

I am so very sorry your having to go through this, I am praying that the FDA and Congress starts listening to us, I have been on these meds as well and after 15yrs of being switched from Oxycodone to Morphine, Methadone, Dilaudid and Fentanyl for pain associated with Crohns Disease and it can be debilitating, I have found that Dilaudid and Fentanyl was the best combination that handles both the pain and severe diarrhea. I have often heard from my patients who suffer from both acute and chronic pain and disease that OxyContin helped them the most, even more than Oxymorphone and Hydromorphone. Just wanted to share this information both as a patient and as a practitioner. Please Note that these types of opiate pain medications are for those who have been taking moderate to large doses of prescribed pain meds who have built up a tolerance and have been adjusted specifically based on their symptoms and absolutely are NOT to be used on an as needed basis or for acute pain.

Yes, every state also has a State Medical Board, and if you feel any wrong has been done by your Dr. including being given medicine that doesn't work, or he won't help, you can contact them, either by fax, or regular mail. and If a complaint is made against a Dr., he HAS to respond within 10 days. I don't know if that helps your situation or not, just wanted to let you know-

I will call them and pray he sees me. The doctor giving me 3 OxyContin 5 MG and took away my Oxymorphone called while I was working for one day only answering phones said I had to come for a mandatory pill count. I explained I was the only person in there. They have me there to help sell homes... She said there would be penalties. I assume it means kicked out. So I am in so much pain. I barely made it to work for them today. He is 70 miles away. I have been stuck with him for 6 months and have not had one pill count. He picks the one day I worked. So pray this doctor is kind and helpful. Thanks again.

I would probably take a chance I am in so much pain, I am frightened to even entertain the idea. You cannot even tell if its something that would kill you. pray this Doctor in Maryland will help me. I want to thank house again.

Look down below your posts where it says that in Florida you won't be able to get your oxycodone. Check it out before you go. It says they won't prescribe it.

Hi Gang,

I just ordered a bottle of the CBD oil. I paid for overnight shipping. Should be here tomorrow. I was approved in 3 hours for the 40% discount. I could only afford a small bottle. Please pray for me. The doctor who I had demanded while I was at work to close up the office and come by 5. If I did that the one day I can work due to pain. I was pain free 75% with my old doctor. Don't forget the pharmacists... they wouldn't fill 3 of my meds together, that I have been taking for 10-20 years, no matter what the doc says. They told me the three together create an 'overdose cocktail'. I didn't take them together and one was just one at night. And I had never had a problem with even a scare of an overdose, because I took them as prescribed. Wish I could give every pharmacist, big drug co CEO, politicians a migraine that lasts sometimes almost a week. But then, they can get anything they want... They just don't care on their little power trips.
