Is Phenergan Safe To Take If You're A Diabetic?

Phenergan contains the active ingredient Promethazine, and there is a risk of it interfering with blood glucose control, and it can reduce the effectiveness of Metformin for those taking it.
This doesn't mean that you can't take Phenergan, but you should do so only with your doctor's approval, because you may need to adjust the dose of your diabetic medications while taking it.
