I am suffering from pcos and taking ovacet. I have a situation were I need to prolong my periods by a week. Can I stop ovacet and take Promilut n OR can I continue both at the same time. Is there any side Effect if I take Ovacet and Promilut n at the same time.

Hi Jaya,
Ovacet reportedly contains the following set of ingredients: Myoinositol + L-methyl Folate + Calcium + Vitamin D; however there are no current methods for checking interactions between vitamins and contraceptives like Primolut (norethisterone). So it sounds to me like your best bet would probably be to contact the doctor who prescribed both medications, in order to help rule out the possibility of interactions occurring. If it was the same doctor who prescribed both, odds are that you should be fine. But it may still be good to double check just to be on the safe side.
