Is A K56 Oxycodone The Same As Percocet (Top voted first)
Updatedi found a pink round pill with k56 on it is it the same as percocet?
No, they are not the same.
Percocet contains both Acetaminophen and Oxycodone. The Acetaminophen potentiates the action of the Oxycodone to help better control pain.
And this tablet with the K 56 marking just contains 10mgs of Oxycodone by itself, in a regular release formulation.
You can learn more Percocet details here and you can learn more Oxycodone details here.
Both are narcotic opiates, so they have the potential to be habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
However, they are different, due to the addition of the Acetaminophen in the Percocet.
Is there anything else I can help with?
Will the k56 come up the same as Oxycodone on a drug panel or do you need to take Tylenol with it?
A typical drug panel only looks for the narcotic drugs. They would not know if you took a generic oxycodone containing acetaminophen (aka: Percocet) or a generic oxycodone without acetaminophen (aka: K56.) They would only be able to tell that you took oxycodone in some form. They won't know if it was liquid or pill form. They won't know if you chewed it, swallowed it, or stuck it up your butt- only that you ingested it somehow.
This exact same question was asked (see #2 above) and was given a very thorough answer (see #3 above).
Candy plz don't ever answer anyone's drug question on this page or otherwise outside of this page, anywhere in life. People ask questions like this for safety reasons. You're going to get someone hurt.
What exactly do you think the 10 is in the 325/10?? Please don't answer any more questions if you are not educated enough about PRESCRIPTION drugs and just know STREET drugs. Thanks
Stronger? If you feel Tylenol will potentiate the active narcotic then the "Percocet" would be "stronger"... They both have the same amount of narcotic pain medicine in them which in this case is 10 mg. Technically if you have Tylenol in your house then you could take 325 mg of it with the K56 oxycodone hydrochloride and you'd be getting the exact same thing as a generic 10/325 Percocet.
Personally I think Tylenol does potentiste oxycodone so if you're looking for pain relief I prefer Percocet. However after the car accident I was in in which I get narcotic pain medicine I take 30 mg oxycodone without Tylenol and take occasionally will take ibuprofen with it or Tylenol (whatever I have on hand) because it gives me better pain relief and a little more "euphoria" even though that's not what I take it for... It does happen. However I don't want to take 3 Percocet 10/325 because then I'm approaching 1000 mg per dose and 4000+ per day.
Short answer = they have the same amount of active narcotic. If you prefer Tylenol to potentiate oxycodone then it will be stronger but if it's just straight IR oxycodone then you can add your own potentiater such as ibuprofen if you don't do well with Tylenol.
The IR pills are often abused by people using them recreationally but I only take them orally.
Soma is a completely different drug than K56. Soma is used as a muscle relaxer whereas K56 is used as a pain reliever. Soma will make you feel very drowsy if too much is ingested putting you into what they call a "soma coma". K56 has different affects on different people. Some I know get tons of energy and can work or play all day and some I know get very sick and sleepy. It's all In how your body reacts.
Yes it is. It's like a percocet 10 / 325 but without the 325 milligrams of Tylenol.
For everybody saying that the pink oxy is the same as a regular 10 perc is wrong obviously there's a big difference if u looked up both drugs and the the real oxys have no generics but percs do call a pharamacy and ask them they will tell u there's a difference and that the pink ones r alot stronger
I was on oxycodone/acetaminophen 10-325 for buldge disks in my back and severe sciatica and naproxen 500mg and now switched to 5mg oxycodone immediate rel tabs and naproxen 500mg...whats the difference
Hi Mel,
The 10 in 325/10 means it has 10 milligrams of Hydrocodone.
The 325 in 325/10 means it has 325 milligrams of Acetaminophen, which is the active ingredient in over-the-counter Tylenol.
325/10 is simply a short-hand for the amount of the 2 active ingredients in the pill... in this case, Acetaminophen (Tylenol) and Oxycodone. Many combination-medicines are imprinted in this way for easy differentiation between different formulations of the same two drugs. This way the doctor and/or the patient can know, at a glance, whether they're taking the right pill, and more importantly, make sure the pill they're taking contains amounts that are within safe-dosage limits.
So, in this case, 325/5, 325/10 and 325/20 indicate medicines with 5, 10 and 20 miligrams of narcotic Oxycodone in each pill.
Hope this helps.
Lemme try my best to dumb this down for you. PERCOCET IS A BRAND NAME. If I have a 8oz cup w/4oz apple juice and another cup w/4oz apple juice and 4oz water, which has more apple juice? NEITHER! Percocet IS oxycodone. Oxycodone with Tylenol and oxycodone without Tylenol HAVE THE SAME AMOUNT OF OXYCODONE.
No it is not percocet. Percocet have oxycodone and acetaminophen which means tylenol. These pills are very round or rectangular in shape. Oxycodone is smaller rounded in shape. Has no tylenol in it just straight oxycodone. The A K or whatever symbols u might see different on the pills are probably generic brands. Still the same thing either way. Hopefully this helps.
It depends on what you need the medication for. Soma is a muscle relaxer, whereas, Oxycodone is a narcotic for pain relief. The uses may seem to be the same because you get relief fairly quickly. But, for getting relief that lasts as it should, get the proper medication.
It's basically the same thing. Same ingredients besides the Tylenol. People who unfortunately abuse them prefer them without the Tylenol.
