I have been having hip joint pain for many years. After I started taking Viberzi 100 mg twice a day within a couple of days my hip pain increased from a bearable 5 on the 0-10 pain scale to a 9 which would wake me up in the middle of the night and my normal dose of my narcotic pain medications would not touch it so I had to take a whole day worth of pain medications just to bring it down to like 6/7. I take Opana ER 20 mg and Percocet 10/325 (3 tablets a day). I normally take 1 Opana ER an hour before bed and one when I get up in the morning and all three Percocet around 2:00 pm. Before taking Viberzi that was enough to control my hip pain and other pain to a certain extent but my pain wasn't under enough control. So my doctor increased the Opana ER to 30 mg. So I stopped taking the...

Hi I have been taking bentyl for about two months now and my gastritis pain had seemed to go away so yesterday I didn't take any. I usually take 1-2 20 ml pills a day. Morning and at night. Oh my goodness I had a headache and was dizzy yesterday but wasn't sure if it was from me not taking bentyl at all yesterday or what so I just went to bed last night. Well I woke up at 4:30 this morning feeling so sick! Like I was gonna vomit and a major headache and dizzy. I was unaware that you have to wean of this medication because I took it about two years ago and never had any side effects accept drowsiness. Is this normal? Should I take like maybe half a 20ml bentyl for a few days to wean off so I won't feel so awful?? Please help me

I was prescribed Bentyl for constant pain I am having in the bowel area. They thought it was diverticulosis (which I did have) but I am clear of that now and still have the pain and nausea. The surgeon gave me Bentyl. I see side effects are nausea. I already have nausea and take Zofran for the nausea. Anyway, my real question is it says not to drink alcohol while taking Bentyl. What is the reason for this? I'm really just about ready to throw away every single medication I am taking. I am very frustrated. And yes I have spoke with my Dr and will be seeing a gastrointestinal Dr. soon. ## Alcohol is notorious for causing someone to experience more side effects than usual. Since the FDA lists Bentyl as possibly causing dizziness and drowsiness, alcohol could enhance that and one drink ...

Hi. My Dr prescribed dicyclomine 10 mg 3 times a day. I noticed the amount of side effects and I'm terrified to take it. Should I be this concerned? ## There are risks and possible side effects associated with taking any medication, prescription, or over the counter, this one has about the same amount of them as any other, according to the FDA. Which ones are scaring you? Perhaps those can be addressed to help you feel better about taking it. Are you o any other medications? ## Hi, just the dizzines, blurry vision, and the most serious one which is a lump in my throat and not be able to breathe. But i was having discomfort just before going to work and I decided to take it, and guess what? No side effects what so ever, and it worked almost immediately! I'm glad I did! I also tak...

I have been suffering with chronic constipation with Colon pain and major bleeding, I understand what hymroids are.. But my pain is so intense I am unable to walk, I have gone to multiple doctors seeking help. I am always told the same thing. "you have hymroids" I get a script for suppositories, (they don't work!!!) With that being said I have ended up in the ER.. The pain is crippling,.. I tell the ER doc my problem, he writes me a script and says I need to see a GI doctor. So I get my script and I read that this helps if you have over active bowl issues... I wish... Why would I be prescribed this medication if I suffer from constipation? ## This medication can actually help reduce the pain your experiencing due to this condition, until you can see the specialist for furthe...

I'm taking a 10 panel drug screen for nursing school, but recently had 2 surgeries and intestinal issues. Will any of my medications affect my drug screen and if so how long should I wait to do the test? I haven't taken any in almost a week but I am prescribed these medications: Dicyclomine Hcl 20 mg tab Myla (took 12/19/16) Hyoscyamine Sulfate 0.125 mg Sub Acel (haven't taken in over a week) Percocet acetaminophen/oxycodone Hy 325/5mg (haven't taken in over 2 weeks) Ibuprofen 800 Mg Tab Majo (took 12/19/16) Citalopram 20 mg (take every night) Will any of these (Percocet is obvious) make me fail my 10 panel? If so which ones? How long to flush them out of my system? Even with my script I can't have them for school purposes.

I need this medican. It seems, that it has been taken off the market. I cannot take subsitutes. Please advise where I might purchase this drug. Thanks, Jo Ann Ghormley ## I'm sorry, I really wish I had some advice for you. Hyoscyamine is an antispasmodic, commonly used to treat certain stomach and bowel issues. I am uncertain why it was removed from the market, it may have been caught in the recent FDA investigations into drugs that they had never actually approved. Have you tried any other alternatives and have you spoken to your doctor about it? ## Drugstore.com seems to sell it in 0.125mg tablets. Found this cleaning my house I just rented and don't know what this is it is small white pill split down the middle on one side and the other side says 10 ## So far, I've found two different possibilities in the NIH database. If the numbers are more square, it could be a medication manufactured by Virtus Pharmaceuticals, which they list as containing 0.125mgs of Hyoscyamine, which is used to treat conditions such as IBS, Chron's disease, and other gastro-intestinal issues. If they are rounder, then it could be a tablet that is manufactured by Accord Healthcare, which they list as containing 10mgs of Glipizide, which is most commonly used to treat diabetes. There may be other possibilities, as well. I'll keep looking and post back, as I find them, so maybe we can narrow i...

My doctor diagnosed me with IBS, but I don't have diarrhea or constipation; just pain on the upper right side of the rib cage. I'm on Hystomine and the pain is still there. How long does it take for complete relief? ## Hello, Sandra! How are you doing? Has there been any change? It can take 4 to 6 weeks for most medications to reach their full level of efficacy in your body, according to the FDA. Unfortunately, I am not quite certain what medication you are talking about, so I can't be more specific. Can you please post back and clarify? I can't find anything under the name you've provided. What you eat and drink can also affect IBS, so you may want to make sure you're eating a mild diet. ## To Vernon, on the subject of IBS the medicine that I am taking is Hyoscy...

Anyone know what it is? it concerns me... ## Hi Roxie, I'm actually looking at an image of this pill as I respond to you and it's reportedly identified as a 0.125 mg Hyoscyamine sulfate sublingual tablet (peppermint flavor). According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine, Hyoscyamine is indicated for use in treating GI tract disorders, such as IBS symptoms, colitis, stomach ulcers, Parkinson's, nausea, overactive bladder, and even pain associated with a number of other ailments in that region of the body. Just to confirm, the pill I'm looking at is small, round and green (a dulled down shade of green...
