UpdatedI am on 150 mg of Irbesartan daily. What time frame should be allotted to wean off this regimen? I wish to discontinue it.

Why do you want to wean off of it? What condition is being treated?
If the medication is the only thing keep the given condition under control, you could be putting your life in danger by discontinuing it according to NIH warnings. It could cause you to experience rebound high blood pressure, and rebound high heart rate, which could result in a heart attack, or stroke, either of which has the potential to be fatal.
Are you on any other medications?
I had to stop 300 mg irbesartan, 10 mg amlodipine and 10 mg prednisone as well as 12 other meds all on the same day with no weaning period as physician would not respond to me or to the pharmacy for renewals. Prepare yourself as there are so many withdrawal symptoms and risks of heart attack and stroke are high. It is a very bumpy ride.
