Insomnia. Taking Meds But Can't Sleep This Week.
UpdatedI take 1mg Clonazepam. 50mg trazodone for insomnia around 11pm.....10 mg singulair and 60 units Lantus at 9pm. This is pretty much my usual schedule. I've had around 5 or hrs of sleep this week. What maybe the problem?

Hello, Dee! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're having.
How long have you been taking these doses? You may have developed tolerance to them, if you've been on them for awhile.
Alternatively, you may be more stressed than usual, or you may have changed something in your diet that is causing it.
The Singular could also be a culprit. Have you changed the time you take it, or the dose recently?
The FDA classifies Clonazepam as a benzodiazepine, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.
Have you consulted your doctor?
Hi, The Singulair I've been taking for a few years. I have asthma and allergies. The Clonazepam I've been taking for a few years off and on but it was .05mg. I was complaining about it because I still wasn't getting any sleep so he up the dosage to 1mg. And that was fine resting at night then gradually it stopped working. I didn't want to up any dosage or add a pill but he added trazodone. At this point I don't really want to take anything. I don't have private insurance so I'm limited to what the state will pay for. I don't sleep in the daytime. I do have other health issues and I take that medicine in the morning. My PCP and Psychiatrist know exactly what meds I'm own and the time I take them. I also use a C-pap. It was helping a lot . Now during the day I feel like crap with puffy eyes. Do you think I'm getting worst with anxiety, depression? Or possibly another disorder or misdiagnosed
No change in the Singulair dosage. Been the same since I started. I know I'm not addicted. I keep myself awake in the day time in hope for a good nights sleep. I think the doctors think I sleep during the day but I dont.
Have you tried taking more Trazodone? 50 to 100mg is the recommended dose for Insomnia, but I don’t take all those other meds you take. So it is best that you check with your doctor b/4 increasing the dose.
