Information On Nitrofurantoin Mono Mac 100mg Caps

Can the prescription Nitrofurantoin be taken for the sympthoms of earache, sore throat, headache, and skin sore to the touch? I was also chilling twelve hours ago.

Nitrofurantoin is used to treat urinary tract infections. Nitrofurantoin is in a class of medications called antibiotics. It works by killing bacteria that cause infection. Antibiotics will not work for colds, flu, or other viral infections.

That said, I think it would be best to diagnose the underlying causes of your sore skin, headache, sore throat, and ear ache. In my honest opinion, a naturopathic doctor would best suit your needs for all the above symptoms and conditions.

Additionally, I do see some antibiotics being prescribed for ear aches; however Nitrofurantoin is primarily used for UTI's, so you may also want to consider looking into other antibiotics or cost effective natural remedy solutions for this ear infection.

The fact that you have an infection simply means that your immune system has been comprised. This could be related to your diet, stress levels, whether or not you sleep well at night, or other emotional traumas that keep your body and mind in an unbalanced acidic state.

I take this medication all of the time if I have a bacterial infection for my throat & it works pretty well for me. My doctor has prescribed this for me before when I have had strep because I also have IBS and this medication is easier on the digestive track when taken in multiple small doses through out the day. I am also allergic to penicillin. I'm sure this isn't the best med to take, but for the record it has helped clear up other infections for me besides UTI's.

1 CAPSULE BY MOUTH 2x A DAY FOR 7 DAYS
I AM TAKING 1 PROBOTIC (AILGN). Is this something I

I have just been prescribed nitrofuran for a bladder infection. I have only just come off amoxicillin 2 days ago for a sinus infection. What can I do to keep my immune system healthy as I hate going on antibiotics!

I am on nitrofurantoin for a urinary infection and I took a pregnancy test and it showed that I was pregnant. could the meds be the reason? It said on the paper that if the meds have hcg in them it could cause a false reading.

I would get me a good yogurt like activia. I had to be placed on 2 different antibiotics back to back due to bronchitic and ended up with my very 1st yeast Infection.My Dr. says this is common but at 40yrs old I had never had a yeast infection in my life & I was not a happy camper.

I was taking care of my mother and she has a UTI and there was a bad odor in her urine, then I got a bad odor in my urine after a while. My urologist prescribed nitrofurantoin for cystitis of the bladder. It can have some very bad side effects, even death. He wants me to take them for 90 days. My symptoms are not bad and I am scared to take them for 90 days.

I had to take these pills after a gastric sleeve operation. The story is that 6 weeks after surgery, I had a tooth extraction. THe dentist did not prescribe an antibiotic. Well, the next day, I developed a fever of 102.5. My dr, was not available, so I went to the ER. After several tests, they concluded that I had a UTI, and possibly a dental infection. I have trouble swallowing capsules (postop), so I put nitrofurantoin in apple sauce, The only way I was able to tolerate it is to completely crush it, no lumps can be left!

I have a uti I have 3 days left to take these pills but my question is iv been craving for a drink a pop in I haven't had any drinks in weeks since iv started using it I was trying to see if it will hurt me if I drink one drink just one?

nitroformin was terrible for me. If someone has an infection, give something like amoxicillan. I just read that nitro antibiotic can be deadly. I believe it! Pain was intense, especially since this was given to me right after gastric sleeve surgery,

I've been having some severe chest pain after taking this in the 100mg dose for two days and I've stopped it. Today it's a lot better than yesterday was.. I hope it continues to improve. I've read all of the side effects as well and I've decided to stop this medicine all together.

Just drink water and water only. Coffee, tea and soft drinks will make the uti come back. Water, water, water

I also questioned the use of an anti Botox every day long term. If you hurt as bad as I did with your urinary. I have interstitial cystitis you will try a lot of things to be out of misery. I am prescribed 1 a day and it's helping a lot. Couldn't be happier. Give it a try atleast
