I had a tremendously horrible up-bringing. My parents werent physical, with me, but the verbal abuse was so intense that I can no longer take it. I worry non-stop then I worry about why I am worrying about so many things. Takes me forever to fall asleep, then I get up tired. I just completed 6 weeks of Lexapro, & sure, it helps...but only just very slightly makes me feel happier. Ive had Effexor XR, Zoloft & Abilify. All of it makes me weird & extremely tired. Not a good pride to pay for the very minute feeling of happiness. And yes, I let them run their course for 3-4 weeks. I cannot handle it anymore. I cant even look for them off the street now because i cant chance a random UA at my job. I have zero self-esteem, have a hard time communicating & i just want it to go away. I know so many people who get them solely to abuse &/or sell. I legitimately need something...Klonopin or Xanax.i dont abuse them & try to only take as needed but none of the Dr's believe me...they take my money & shoo me off on Zoloft or ativan or some crap. I need higher power anxiety meds. Anyone in Indy please help me out!

Hey man. Look into Dr. Tyler Flanningham in Carmel, IN. He will take care of you.
Hello, JD! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problems that you're having.
To be honest, most doctors are going to want you to try other options first, before they resort to prescribing medications that can be habit forming. They have to be careful what they prescribe and why they prescribe it, or they risk losing their license to practice medicine, as well as possible fines and jail time. Side effects listed in the PDR include nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and dry mouth.
Additionally, if you go to a doctor and ask for a specific medication, that will throw up red flags, because they are taught to view that as being drug seeking behavior.
Due to the new regulations that have been put in place, you'll also need to see a specialist to have such a medication prescribed, so you'd need to see a psychiatrist.
Do you currently have a PCP that might be able to refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need.
Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?
Nobosy on this vast site can help me at all & guide me in the right direction??
