Increasing The Dose Of Sertraline

Hi,

I have been on sert5raline for approximately 16motnhs having changed from citalopram when my daughter was born. My family is relocating to Dubai and I really want to go but my anxiety about what if we fails etc is holding me back. Today my doctor upped my dose from 50mg to 100mg? Should this make a significant difference? ?If so how soon? I really don't want my anxiety to run my life and am trying really hard to face thef ear and do it anyway. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

It should help, but it will take several weeks for the new dosage to reach its full effects in your body.

As to the possibility of failing, in reality, you face that with everything you do, every day. From getting out of bed to walking across the parking lot, there is always a chance that you can fail at anything you want to do.

However, the real failure would be to stop living, because you are so afraid of failure that you can't even bear to try. There are many people that do and they end up stuck in a rut for their entire lives, never enjoying anything, because they're afraid to step out of their comfort zone.

And to be honest, I think you'd feel even worse if the rest of your family went without you!

Can you or anyone here recommend one or two EFFECTIVE BRANDS of Sertraline/ Manufacturers????

The brand I'm now taking (don't know name yet, but yellowish tablet, 100mg with a 1 and 8 on one side) is AWFUL. I've been increasingly falling into crying jags and long depressions leading to despondency. Where can we find a list of GOOD Sertraline Manufacturers. Some are just the worst. Thanks.
