In Need Of Pain Doctor In Johnson City, Tn Area

I injured my back in 2003 and then bad car wreck in 2005 was on pain pills but seen to abuse then after 3yrs. Got on suboxon it works great but my doctor that work it for pain management retired so 7 had to go to a suboxone clinic and they want to keep taking me down in my dose when i am maintaining just fine with pain.

Hello, Julie! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problems that you're having.

Yes, it is normal for the Suboxone doctor to want to taper you down, after a period of time, because that is what they are supposed to do, since they treat addiction, not pain. It is in the FDA guidelines for such treatment.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Unfortunately, since you've gone to an addiction clinic, it is highly unlikely that you will find a doctor that is willing to treat you by prescribing pain medications, since you do have a history of abuse and the clinic is noted in your medical records, now. You will most likely be better off staying where you are.

I wish I had better news for you, or some other advice to offer, but I don't.

Does anyone else have any advice or ideas that may help?

Does anyone know of a dr in tricities area in tn to treat pain. My brother passed away and I messed up with the dr I had. Filled a rx I shouldn't. Was just in function mode and not thinking. Now I have to find another dr. Plz any help wld b appreciated.

I am in dire need of a subutex dr. I cannot afford suboxone plus it gives me migraines to the point I cannot function. I had a dr n mad, girlfriend called n got me kicked out. I am trying to get my son back cuz his momma got on gravel n got him took. I had to get my subutex from other means since but when I take a follicle evaluation for state if I dont have a dr I will lose my son till he is 18!!! Please Please help!!!!!

I'm in same shape. I can't find a PCP or pain management. I just found out also I got osterposis and stenosis along with herniated disk. I'm back on my walker. I can't take subutec and my PCP is scared cause all the laws n only gives me 4 ten rocys and it doesn't touch this pain. I have even broke my tailbone. These docs has no sympathy
