How long do I have to get records to the doctor before being seen? I need to know what all I need to bring at the time of my visit/appointment?

Hello, Trey! How are you?

There is no specific time frame set in stone, it can vary from doctor to doctor. However, I would recommend giving them at least a week, that way they have time to peruse your records, before your first visit. A doctor normally wants to be fully informed, before they write any prescriptions for a patient.

For your first appointment, the NIH recommends that you take a copy of your most recent records, in case they have no received them, plus a list of any medications you are currently taking.

Their office should also be able to tell you what they need.

Can anyone else provide advice?
