I found this big white oval pill that's all blank on one side and the other side has I8 or 8I. What's it used for? ## This tablet is manufactured by Dr. Reddy's Labs and they list it as containing 800mgs of Ibuprofen, which is used to treat pain, fever and swelling. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Can you take these two tablets at the same time? Or will they interact with each other? ## No, essentially that would be double up on nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, which increases your risk of bleeding, stomach irritation, and stomach ulceration. It would be best to stick with one or the other, according to the NIH, unless your doctor instructs otherwise. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thanks very much for your reply . I regularly have upset stomach and take norflox tz which decreases my bowel movements but the pain persists. Can I take ibuprofen with norflox for the pain? Can I take with ibuprofen with pliva 787? I have sinusitis with horrible upper respiratory issues. I'm stuffy and congested. ## Pliva lists this tablet as containing 250mgs of Azithromycin, which is an antibiotic that is used to treat, or prevent various types of bacterial infections. Yesterday I bought this brand of ibuprofen, On my 2nd dose of two 200mg it's happening again! I have uneasy feeling, dry mouth , as well as a heartburn , sour stomach. I take ibuprofen 3Xs a day some days with non of these side effects? For my perforated disc and brucitius. 1st what can I do for these side effects? I have severe arthritis in my neck and a herniated L4 and L5 disc for which I am taking 20 mg of oxycodone. I would like to find out if I can take 800mg of ibuprofen with 20 mg of oxycodone at the same time? ## They can be taken together, as long as your doctor approves, but the Ibuprofen might potentiate the effect of the Oxycodone, which could result in your experiencing more side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and constipation. Hi, I had a work injury back in 2012 and now have three herniated discs and nerve problems. I have been to pain management who have done injections and radiofrequency ablations but with little success. I can't take Ibuprofen due to a bypass and reflux issues and tylenol doesn't help. I was being given Vicodin but now no doctor will prescribe it due to all the new laws and problems with abuse and addiction. I have been faithful to my primary and pain management doctor and even have my insurance on board to make sure I am a faithful patient and not an abuser. So I am in desperate need to find a doctor who doesn't tell me to go home, put ice, heat and rest or take tylenol. I found a round brown pill in my kids room with only the number 57 nothing else and can't find anything like it online. ## It might be a good idea to take the pill over to your local Walgreens/CVS and see if they have anyway of analyzing the contents. I haven't been able to find anything like it here either. This has me wondering if it may be some kind of illicit substance or party drug - but how old is your kid? I guess that would provide a clue as I seriously doubt a child would have narcotics in their room - A teenager on the other hand is a different story. Can I take ibuprofen, diazepam and buscopan together? Have just been to the doctor and he has suggested buscopan for stomach spasms but am already on ibuprofen and diazepam for ongoing back trouble after a spinal op many years ago I didn't think at the time if it's ok to take all these meds together.

My husband was diagnosed with fatty liver. Is it safe for him to take alaxan fr for pain? ## No, if he has liver damage, he shouldn't take this, or any nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, because it may cause liver damage, or liver failure, according to the NIH. I have an enlarged vein that goes thru the muscle of my foot which has caused inflammation in this muscle and it hurts constantly. I was told my vein size is 99 and it should be 45 but before it can be corrected I have to loose 30 lbs in order to receive this procedure. In the meantime I have to suffer with this pain. it is a redish maroon color round pill with 12 on it what is it my 11 year old daughter said someone gave it to her ## I believe that what you may be looking at is a capital i and the number 2 and it contains 200mgs of Ibuprofen, it is a generic, or store brand of Advil, used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Learn more: Can you double check the markings on the pill and let me know if it's possibly an I2? ## A brown small round pill that's just marked with I2 is Amitriptylin 25mg. Now ibuprofen 200mg has about the same color although a little larger and has a dash in it marked with an I-2 so be very careful here

Just had a root canal. I took 1 hydrocodone 7.5/325 mg and 800 mg of ibuprofen and I'm still in a lot of pain. What else can I do? ## Stacy, Not much, it may take time for the trauma of the root canal therapy to subside. I highly doubt your dentist can or will rx anything stronger. Did they order an antibiotic? Rinsing with warm water may assist as well. Try to rest. The medication sometimes needs time to thoroughly provide relief. If all else fails follow up with the dentist in the am. ## Thank you. I was on one antibiotic but she added another one and a steroid because I wasn't getting any pain relief. WHITE OVAL PILL WITH IP466 ON ONE SIDE AND NOTHING ON THE OTHER SIDE ## I believe IP 466 to be Ibuprofen 800 mg, although information on this pill is vague. Another related discussion thread on this site also implies an 800 mg Motrin (which contains Ibuprofen as the active ingredient). The manufacturer is reportedly Amneal. Was in the er a few nights ago and the doctor gave me 600 mg Mortrain and 2 325 mg of percocet. When we took my prescriptions In to get filled they switch them to oxycodone and ibuprofen can I still take them together like the doctor wants ## Hi Heather, How are you? Based on my research, there are no drug interactions listed between Ibuprofen and Oxycodone. With that said, I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to continue taking them together as the doctor suggested. There's also a brand available here in the US by the name of Combunox, which reportedly contains both of these active ingredients as well.
