I didn't find any problems or interactions listed, but it's always best to double check such information to be sure. As to other pain medications, I can't check, without knowing the specific ones you want to check. There are far too many available for me to check them all for you. The FDA classifies Ibuprofen as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Can you post back with the names of others that you'd like me to check for you? Thanks! ## Can I take Levsin for cramps & ibuprofen at the same time for pain?
Does this drug have a 61 on one side and nothing on the other and is it a large white oval pill? ## does IBuprofen a 61 on one side and is smooth on the other side? ## I have done several searches via different resources for a tablet with this marking and I cannot find anything on it. I am sorry, I wish I could be of more help. Was it found in the U.S. or eleswhere? did you receive it in a prescription? ## I've been taking Ibuprofen 600 mg, stamped with 122 on one side; generic for Motrin. My Dr. ordered a refill and I got a smaller pill imprinted with "I 7"....Normally I would not care, but I got a bad reaction. I think it was mfg in India. I wanted the pill stamped with 122... Is it still available?
My husband got his finger cut off yesterday and the doctor gave him 7.5 hydrocoden. And its been hour and half and he is in pain. I was wondering if advil woukd be ok to give him to help him out. The bottle says he can take two but he dont want to take 2 he took one. Thank you ## @Charlena, Sorry to hear about your husband's mishap. I can't imagine how excruciating that must've been or how it may be affecting him psychologically... Though it sounds like he's in good hands with you looking after his treatment regimen. I just wanted to add that taking ibuprofen with hydrocodone/apap is generally regarded as safe. They actually make a hydrocodone/ibuprofen drug combination by the name of Vicoprofen. And as far as my personal experience goes, I've never had any issues ta...
I am taking Ibuprofen for knee pain, wrist pain, arthritis. I just want to know how many times a day I need to take it? I'm 5'11" and 175 lbs. I've been taking it twice a day and it has not helped much so I'm really hoping that more will help. I need some relief. ## Hi AJ - the Advil label states: "adults and children 12 years and over; take 1 tablet every 4 to 6 hours while symptoms persist... if pain or fever does not respond to 1 tablet, 2 tablets may be used... do not exceed 6 tablets in 24 hours, unless directed by a doctor." So, you can technically take up to 2 x 200 mg tablets, 3 times per day. It sounds like you aren't taking that many yet. Also, it is not recommended to take Ibuprofen over a long period of time since it can increase the risk of s...
Can I take both Ibuprofen IB tablets (2) and one Hydrocodone - APAP (5-325mg) tablet for my pain every 6 hours? ## Have you been instructed to take them both? They are sometimes prescribed together to help get better control of severe pain due to such conditions. The FDA warns that Hydrocodone carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.
When completing the intake form for donating blood, it asks if you've taken anything with aspirin in it in the last 72 hours. I have taken ibuprofen. I need to know if ibuprofen contains aspirin? ## No, but it is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that can cause some blood thinning, so it would be best to make sure they are aware that you've taken it. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with?
Hi there. My name is Jacob. I'm a 21 year old male that is from West Virginia. I'm seeking some help or any information on how to get myself some help with my constant struggle with pains. I'm very sorry to bother but I'm not sure what to do. I've been in severe pain since a car wreck I was in last year when another driver cut my fiancé and I off on a 3 lane wide road and we hit broad side at 50mph. My fiancé was severely injured in the wreck with bad swelling in the head and face area and my right inner hip, lower back, and my shoulder up closer to the right side of my neck. I was admitted to the ER in Belpre, OH and was treated like I was faking it or whatever they may have thought because I wasn't brought by ambulance. My brother had to drive me beca...

I have asthma too and my doctor said that ibuprofen can be bad for asthmatic. Since I always took ibuprofen and it was always ok, for me there is no problem with that. Bus asthmatic must be careful with it. About arcoxia and ibuprofen. Right now I'm taking arcoxia for my arthritis (witch says on the flyer that can also be bad for asthma when having a crisis because it can increase the mucous of the lungs). I probably would mix the two meds together because they are both bad for the liver and kidney. ## No, they should not be mixed, since they both essentially do the same thing and could cause severe problems with your asthma, as reported by the NIH. Other typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation, and increased risk of bleeding. Is the...
Can i take ibuprofen if i took oxycodone hydrochloride 4 hours ago? I have bad tooth pain cause it broke and they're taking it out tomorrow as an emergency. ## They are sometimes taken together for better pain control, but you should not do so without the approval of a medical professional. The FDA warns that Oxycodone carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, constipation, headache, and dry mouth. Has the extraction been done, yet?

I normally take ibuprofen to take the edge off impacted bowels. laxatives of every type I've taken. Only thing that helps the pain is vicadan/valium but I'm out. I have tevas blue pill and I was wondering if one pill would help? I don't have IBS like doctors say (just a bandaide diagnosis) I do not believe in. I was infected with giardia and irradicated however cousin "blastocystis" exists. I have symptoms of swelling, dysentary, irrative bowel movements'major gas, rumbling of stomach, pounding like sledge hammer on colon. You can actully see it moving up and down, blurred vision, chronic fatigue. I was never sick before except when I ate at a carnival where I contracted giardia and have been sick every since. I'm just waiting for it to turn into cancer like ...

I took 1 Gen Payne as i had a massive headache and after about 10 minutes i started getting massive stomach cramps. This cramps is also into my back. Its like a massive spasma. Can gen payne cause spasma stomach craps thats so severe. Its really painfull. ## Hello, Jen! How are you? I'm sorry about the issues you're experiencing. It can cause a headache, as a side effect, as reported by the FDA, but not normal stomach cramps. However, the Ibuprofen in it can cause stomach irritation and if that's severe or you have an ulceration or gastritis, one of those may be causing the cramping. The FDA warns that this is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have y...
I got some Ibuprofen and it says i7 which is a different number than I've seen before. When I googled "white pill i7" it says that that number and pill color is Naproxen, which I am allergic to. Which pill is it? ## What color is the tablet and where did you get it? A blue oval pill with the I 7 on it is listed as containing 220mgs of Naproxen. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation. Are you on any other medications? Do you have any diagnosed medical conditions? ## It's a white oblong tablet. I guess a certain manufacturer makes this number for ibuprofe.
FOOTBALL SHAPED WHITE OBLONG PILL ## Based on the description provided, I found your pill to be Ibuprofen (600 mg). The correct marking on the pill is 6i, which can easily be misleading for i9. Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug used for relief of symptoms of arthritis, primary dysmenorrhea, fever, and as an analgesic. For more information about this drug, please refer to the link below... If you have any more questions or concerns, please post back and I will be happy to help you. ## i have both I-9 and I-6 pills i know I 6 is ibuprofen because its BIGGER than the I 9 two different size pills so again what is the I 9?

It's an oblong shaped brownish red colored pill and only has 51 imprinted on it, so please let me know! ## @Juiceka, According to the discussion thread linked below, this is reported to be a 200mg Equate brand Ibuprofen USP tablet, allegedly available over the counter at Walmart. Source: red pill with only 51 imprint And just to confirm it's an oblong redish / maroon pill with 51 on one side and blank on the other. I hope this helps! ## It is, most definitely, a 200 mg ibuprofen by Equate, sold at Walmart.
Will this cause lack of response in the penis when having intercourse?Lack of sensitivity? ## Gen Payne contains the active ingredients Ibuprofen, Paracetamol and Codeine, which is a narcotic pain reliever. From what I could gather, the side effects of Ibuprofen in this medication may possibly illicit erectile dysfunction: A 2005 study linked long term (over 3 months) use of NSAIDs, including ibuprofen, with a 1.4 times increased risk of erectile dysfunction. The report by Kaiser Permanente and published in the Journal of Urology, considered that "regular non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug use is associated with erectile dysfunction beyond what would be expected due to age and other condition". The director of research for Kaiser Permanente added that "There are many prove...
