My partner has been taking two 200mg Ibuprofen every morning for about 3 years. He has become quite lethargic, lost his appetite and is sleeping 12 hours per night. Is it the tablets? ## It is really hard to say, those aren't typical side effects for that dosage. The NIH lists them as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation. Is he on any other medications that you know of? When was the last time he consulted a doctor? ## I was in a car accident when i was 17, i am now 57. My head went in the back of the drivers seat and broke my nose. There were 5 of us in a little Pinto and we hit the curb on our side of the road and spun went airborne and hit a tree head on. They never checked my spine after that and when i got to be abt 3...

I would like to know if Doxytet, Ibuprofen and Ambral are usually prescribed to women who have had a miscarriage? ## Some prescriptions may vary, depending on why the woman miscarried. Ambral contains the active ingredient Metronidazole, it is an antibiotic used to treat or prevent infection. Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Doxytet contains Doxycycline, this is another antibiotic. None of these are unusual, meant to treat any pain and discomfort she has and prevent any infections from occuring. Is there anything else I can help you with? ## I had miscarraige three days ago and went hosp they cleaned and gave me ambral & doxytet not sure when to start trying again for the second baby how will this medi affect me? ## I am a teenage...

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, easy bruising, and increased risk of bleeding. Qt, was the tablet possibly a light blue? Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals does list that they make a very pale blue one that contains 30mgs of Oxycodone, in a regular release formulation. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, headache, and constipatio...

Had a bad fall 3 months ago. Hit the floor hard on my right knee, hip and shoulder. My right knee was swollen for almost two weeks. Took about a month and half to recover. After two x rays the doctors told me "no bones broken or fracture but soft tisssue injury". Gave me ibuprofen and gastric medication. Recently that is more than 3 months after the fall, i had pain in my right knee. Two weeks ago it became swollen around the knee and i had to limp to move around. Although the swelling has reduce a lot yet it pains when i touch Or move my right leg. Feels like tightness just below the kneecap. ## You might have sprained the knee, but over extending the tendons, ligaments, or both. The NIH warns that this can be a very painful condition and may take 3+ months to heal. My husband ...

Insurance made me switch over manufacturers from Amneal (600mg Ibuprofen) to Dr. Reddy's (600mg Ibuprofen). What is the difference, if any? Does one have more fillers? Is one a sodium ibuprofen and one standard, absorbed faster etc? Thanks. ## They both contain the same active ingredient, they are just manufactured by different companies. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Ibuprofen as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation, and increased risk of bleeding. How is the new tablet working for you?

Took two 200 mg ibuprofen. Had a urine test and get my results in three days. Should i be worried? ## I have to take a blood drug test. I was given 800mg ibuprofen tablets. Is this a controlled substance? Do I need to worry about not passing the drug test? ## I have a drug test tomorrow. It will have a positive result for percocet 10, but if I take an 800 mg ibuprofen will it also show up? ## These questions confuse me. Ibuprofen is merely an OTC pain reliever. It's an NSAID. It's not a controlled substance. It's the active ingredient in Aleve® and Advil®. There is no reason a pain management doctor or probation officer should care whether or not there is ibuprofen in your system. That being said, they likely wouldn't even bother checking for it in the lab work...

I been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis and ran out of my hydrocodone prescription, I also was prescribed a muscle relaxer carisoprodol for my back pains can I take ibuprofen 600 mg with my muscle relaxer until hydrocordone can be filled. ## Using the University of Maryland Medical Center's (umm.edu) drug interaction tool, their webpage doesn't display any interactions between Carisoprodol and Ibuprofen. Based off this information alone I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be safe to use the two together; outside of their own individual side effects. However, I do think it's always a good idea to inform your doctor of any new medications first, just in case something were to happen *knock on wood*. Hope this helps! ## hould try carisipodol with ...

My Dr put me on baclofen for rls and I was also prescribed 600 mg ibuprofen for pain in the hospital. I had fluid around my heart. I also have epilepsy and take lamictal 100 mg twice daily and onfi 60 mg day. Also keppra 500 mg twice daily. Can I get addicted to taking baclofen and ibuprofen with my other medication? Can you take ibuprofen with flexeril? I am so exhausted all the time and cannot sleep at night. ## What was the condition that caused fluid around your heart? Most nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, such as Ibuprofen, are contraindicated in such cases, because they may cause fluid retention as a side effect, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation, and increased risk of bleeding.

How many ibuprofen and acetaminophen equal 1 Vicodin ## They are not equivalent. Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and Acetaminophen is an analgesic and antipyretic, however, Vicodin contains the narcotic Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen, so they just aren't comparable. Additionally, both the Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen can be toxic and cause a fatal overdose, if you take too much, so trying to take more and more of them to relieve pain is not advisable. You can learn more Acetaminophen details here and you can learn more Ibuprofen details here and you can learn more Vicodin details here. I need help identifying a pill. It’s oblong with G 2 printed on it and nothing else. It’s a rust color. Sort of reddish brown. The G and 2 appear to have a space in between them. ## Hi Lou, Any chance that this could be Ibuprofen 200mg? There's a round reddish/brown pill with G 2 on it that's Ibuprofen 200mg as well as an oblong reddish/brown pill with I - 2 on it that is the same thing. The manufacturer of the round pill is Rugby Laboratories and the manufacturer of the oblong pill is Major Pharmaceuticals. So far, I've yet to come across anything else that's remotely similar in description, but hopefully this can at least help to narrow down some prospects.

I just began taking a blood pressure med (hydroclorathiazide ) & wonder if there is any negative reaction between that drug & lemon balm & L theanine which I take for stress relief. I have only been on the BP med for a few days but haven't dared to use the herbal Stress relief formula since I don't know how they might interact. I also read that ibuprofen has a moderately bad interaction with the BP medicine. Can anyone help me with information about this?

What are the age requirements for this medication? ## Gen Payne contains the active ingredients Ibuprofen, Paracetamol and Codeine, which is a narcotic pain reliever. Since it does contain a narcotic, it would be advisable not to give it to children, unless a doctor has specifically instructed you to do so. And, in the case of elderly people, their body may metabolize the medication differently, so they may require a lower dosage.
