I found a white oblong pill with 18 on one side and blank in the other. It was scored in the middle. This was in my sons room. shaped like an 800 mg. ibuprofen. It is light red and has a thick 1 on one side. Almost like a one-a-day number 1. Round white pill with Watson 932 one side and IP466 on the other side ## These are two different imprints from 2 different prescription tablets. The one with the IP 466 marking contains 800mgs of Ibuprofen, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. Learn more Ibuprofen details here. Regarding the expiration date, if it's been stored properly, then it's probably going to be good for the next few years or more. According to a Harvard Medical School family health article, except in rare cases (i.e. tetracycline), there is little chance of danger due to taking medications even up to 15 years beyond their expiration date. can i die from taking 400mg of ibupofen ## If you're allergic to it or sensitive, it's a possibility, but otherwise it is very unlikely if you're a person of normal health. The amount in most over the counter tablets, such as Advil or Motrin is 200mg and people can take 2 of them at a time, if needed, for pain. white, oblong pill with L 2 imprint and scored in middle on the back. Cannot find anything on various sites ## I don't have sufficient evidence to say for sure, but the pill might be ibuprofen made by Perrigo. It's oblong and white, and the imprint can easily be mistaken for 12 or l2. The tablet is not scored as you say, but it does have a hifen (dash) in-between the "l-2". There's also an antidiarrheal tablet (by the name of Loperamide) that fits your pill description more accurately as far as being an oblong pill that is scored on the back with "L2" on the front. But this pill is very pale green as opposed to white. Any thoughts on either of these being a match? ## avid - thanks for your input. i found a strage pill in my apartment it is pink oblong and imprinted with carol-f ## I'm sorry, but I cannot find anything on this, at all. Are you quite certain of the marking? It is possibly something over the counter or from a foreign country, which could explain why it isn't in any of our databases. Was it found in the U.S. or elsewhere? ## It is a pain pill marketed in Korea ## It is Ibuprofen (200mg) and Arginine, a combination that is reported to be better than Ibuprofen alone. It is marketed extensively in Korea, as noted above. The usual dosage prescribed is two pills, three times a day.

NAPROXIN OR IBUPROFEN, WHICH IS BETTER ## Hi IETTY, Depending on the dose, both of these medications could effectively handle the pain associated with a toothache. Some people however prefer Naproxen over Ibuprofen because of certain side effects and that it may be easier on their stomach. Others find a few hundred mgs of Ibuprofen to be more than sufficient for a toothache. There are just many different reasons for choosing one over the other... One patient review I found stated that 400mgs of Ibuprofen every 4 to 6 hours was sufficient enough to take care of their toothache; although I haven't come across any specific details on Naproxen's equivalent dose for this same treatment.
