I had a upper respitory infection. Had to take prednisone for 3 rounds then started symbicort. I was also given rescue inhaler. I have not had to take a puff of that in a month.
I have been getting anxiety attacks since and thick mucus and a feeling stuck in my throat from symbicort.
I have been back to breathing normal the last couple of days without symbicort. It's only been two days but I have 0 breathing problems no tightness. No wheezing. Some mucus but it's clear and I get full breaths...
Would I have experienced tightness or wheezing in this short time of quiting symbicort?
Or is it to soon to tell?
I can't find any info on what to expect when you quit symbicort. I have never had asthma in the past and I 42 years old

I have changed my diet completely and feel 100% better.
I highly recommend the Ph Mircle I have been walking and running 15 miles a week plus lifting weights again. I'm off all medications since January 31st, 2016. I also see a kinesiologist Chiropractic Doctor. I take nature supplements for my specific needs. My energy is more consistent. The prednisone I was on was was awful. That stuff should be illegal. So many natural cures to things and the fda approves this gabage.
Hello, it is too soon to tell. I also stopped and about 2 weeks later ended up needing steroids due to a flare up of copd.. but I feel better off off it for the most part and been losing weight I've put on the last five years on it. 3 weeks and 6 lbs lighter.
Thanks for replying.
I have had some throat wheezing but breathing better and no anxiety since quiting symbicort. This is day 6. I'm not taking anything other some whole food supplements.
I have also gone a very health High alkaline diet. I feel great.
Peak flow is at 640-650. I have decided to stay off the symbicort because of side effects.
I will see what happens over the next couple of weeks.
Those can be typical side effects of Symbicort, according to the FDA, you may also experience headache, and dry mouth.
It is likely too soon to tell, but rebound effects can occur, when you stop taking it, according to FDA reports.
Has there been any change? Are you still on any other medications?
And from one Freeman to another, I hope you fully recover very soon.
