I Need A New Primary Doctor

I can't seem to get along with my doctor and he wants to do what he wants. I've been sick and on pain medication for 10 years. He wants to cit me off and drop me as a patient. I need to find a doctor ASAP in Saint Louis Missouri.

Hello, Vanessa! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problems that you're having.

However, if you're taking any type of controlled substance for chronic pain, then your doctor's hands are tied. Regular PCPs are no longer allowed to prescribe them and you'll need to see a pain management specialist. Any PCP that you see if going to have to refer you to one for such medications.

As to doing what he wants, he has the medical degree and you're going to find that most doctors are like that. They expect to be in charge.

Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area?
