I Live In Sheboygan Wi And Am Looking For A Doctor Who Treats Chronic Pain

I lived in large urban areas before moving to Sheboygan. My chronic back pain was never an obstacle until dealing with every doctor I have met in Sheboygan. No one wants to traet you and they refer you to the only option here, Advanced Pain Management. There they treat so many patients that you can never speak with a nurse and the two doctors you can't even email. I just want a doctor that is available to treatment me that I can speak to by phone , email, and the needed appointment. Doesn't have to.be a pain doctor. Anyone have any suggestions. Doctor names to recommended.

Hello, Anna! How are you doing? Sorry about the problem that you're having.

However, if you require pain medications on an ongoing basis for chronic pain treatment, then you will have to see a pain specialist. New regulations regarding this were just put in place in April of this year. PCPs and surgeons can no longer prescribe such medications long-term, except in very rare cases, such as for stage 4 cancer.

That is likely why they've been referring you to the pain management clinic, that's all they can really do. I'm sorry, I wish I had better news for you, but I don't.

Does anyone know of a good pain specialist in the area that she can try?
