I Have Just Started Taking Viibryd.

I'm suffering from depression/anxiety/bipolar disorders. Today, as of 6th of October, I have taken my 6th pill of 10mg of Viibryd. Just after my second pill I started experimenting dizziness and nausea. I've been having troubled sleeping, and as soon as I wake up everything seems to be spinning around me. The first thing I do in the morning is running to the fridge just to grab something to eat, otherwise I'm extremely nauseous and have an upset stomach. I've been having daharrea along with painful lower part of my abdominals for the last 4 days. I'm feeling very depressed, sad, heavy, and lethargic without an ability of completing simple daily tasks. I have just started feeling shooting pains first in my feet, then legs, and now a little bit in my chest. Anxiety is very unpleasant as well. I was on Lexapro for about 2 years when it stopped working. The same story applies to Cymbalta. My doctor prescribed me Paxil just to receive a severe allergic reaction after only 7 days of taking it. E.R. and expensive hospital bills are my souvenirs. I'm on Viibryd now, for the last 6 days with all those side effects mentioned on the above. Should I go for 20mg after 7 days or my symptoms are going to get worse? I'm desperately looking for MY MAGIC PILL. I'm thinking, maybe I'll be fine after 2 weeks or so, maybe I just need to be patient and all the side effects will go away, and Viibryd will start working for me.. I'm frustrated and I am feeling hopeless. I just simply don't know what to do anymore to help myself.

Hi! I'm 20y/o, 119 BMI, prescribed Viibryd 1 month ago, started w/ 10mg, upped to 20mg after 1 week then 30mg after 2 weeks, and I've been on 30mg for the last 6 days. 1 week into 20mg, I noticed I'd get "brain zaps" in the day if I missed my dose the previous night so I made sure I never missed a dose, but the brain zaps happened anyway, at night time. It would activate a high-pitch ringing in my ears, different from any past experience I've had with tinnitus. The night of the 2 week mark, brain zaps became painful, and when I went to sleep, I woke up in a state of sleep paralysis, which I get pretty often but this time was especially unsettling because I could physically feel the brain zaps, and heard gong-like explosions with every zap. I take it at bedtime and it helps me get up the next morning no matter what time I fell asleep, which I like. Other positives are that I definitely feel "better" wrt. death wishes, anxiety, flashbacks, and lethargy. So, I thought that the negatives were tolerable but I've only recently realized that Viibryd has caused me Musical Ear Syndrome, irritability, and it's impacted Adderall for me. I'm prescribed 2x 20mg IR daily, and my pharmacy changed generics around the time that I increased Viibryd to 20mg, so when I learned that I needed 80mg IR at once to feel anything, became unusually sweaty, hyperfocused, paranoid, and then mellowed into a zombie over the course of 3 hours, I blamed the generic. I'm certain now that Viibryd is at fault. My sense of time is all sorts of f***ed up now too - I'm always meticulous when it comes to writing but I'll look at a clock to see that 5 hours have passed, then back at my laptop to see 5 sentences written down. The sleep paralysis brain zap incident feels like a month ago, but not even a week has passed! I eat inconsistently but I've never left a meal 75% unfinished until I got on Viibryd, and I've lost 8lbs in 2 weeks. I'm more irritable, and I literally have a hard time remembering things about what I/my life was like before this medication. A small part of me wants to wait and see if any of this will subside with time since I'm afraid of what might happen while/after I taper off, but my Adderall is at stake so nah :') Will update soon.
Thanks for reading!
Been on Prozac for years. Stopped helping and Dr. suggested Viibryd 10mg to start for 7 days first, then to increase to 20mg. At first I was afraid to try something new, I did have stomach (queasiness) issues but no diarrhea. I continued taking Viibryd (20mg). I am SO glad I did! I feel GREAT and I don't mean manic. I am accomplishing things that were just a terrible struggle before. Before taking this I could not concentrate or organize tasks. I do take it in the evening now, at the start I took it in the a.m. but felt too tired/lazy. Sexual side effects lasted only about a week and then NO problem reaching the big O. I think this med is GREAT and hopefully will continue to work for me. I do have some dandy dreams but sometimes they're darn funny! Oh, and once I discontinued Prozac I noticed right away that I could smell and taste things again. Also I do not feel drugged on Viibryd. 5 star rating for me!
With any new medication like this it takes about 4 to 6 weeks for it to reach its full level of effectiveness in your body, that is usually about the same amount of time that you can expect to experience the worst of the side effects, then they should start to taper off, as your body gets used to it.

Thus yes, you're kind of expecting too much too soon.
How are you dong now? Has there been any improvement, yet?
