My son came home with 3 clear capsules with pink powder in them. No markings. I busted him, and he said he was told it was hydrocodone 200 mil. Have you heard of this? ## Well, it wouldn't be an mil measurement, that's a liquid measurement, not a dry one. It is, however, possible for them to come like this if it was something that a doctor prescribed and was specially prepared by a compounding pharmacy. 200mgs of Hydrocodone, though, is not something normally used. They also usually contain Acetaminophen, with the Hydrocodone. The only way to really see what this is, since there are no markings, would be to have it lab tested somewhere. The M357 refers to the strength, which is 5 mg of hydrocodone, and 500 mg APAP, which is acetamenaphen--it reads, as hydrocodone/APAP 5/500 mg. It is used for mild to moderate types of pain, and the acet. portion is for inflammation. I have not heard of its use as a muscle relaxant, per se. blue ,oblong with watson 540...bottle read 10/500....but i also have yellow oblong with a V on one side and on the other side is 36/01...on that prescription bottle is 10/325...what is the difference and which is the stongest.. ## They both contain Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, the active ingredients in Vicodin, however, the Acetaminophen does help the Hydrocodone to work better, so the one with 500mgs of it would be stronger. found a white oblong pill With markings LL723 I havent the slightest clue what it is aND cant seem to find anything on the internet about it?? I took for hydrcodone 5/500 and two days later my doc wants me to pee will it show up? ## Yes, it probably will. The Hydrocodone is a narcotic opioid and they are usually detectable for 4 to 5 days in your urine, after you take them. However, if you have a prescription, you should just inform them of this, at the time of testing. But, if you have a contract with that doctor not to use anything else and it wasn't prescribed by them, this could still create a problem. Are there any other questions?

I found these pills from 2000...are they safe to take? ## Hydrocodone does not get dangerous, after the expiration, but it does slowly lose effectiveness and after all these years, the chance of them actually doing anything is very low. In addition, if they contain Acetaminophen, that will also lose effectiveness and doubling up on them isn't a good idea, because taking too much of it, in a day, can be toxic. Are there any other questions?

I found a prescription of hydrocodone from 2000 and my mother was wondering if you could still take them? I dont know if they are toxic or not so i am trying to find out before she takes them. ## Neither the Hydrocodone, nor Acetaminophen become toxic, after the expiration, but they do lose effectiveness. After 10 years, the chance of them actually having any beneficial effect isn't very high. You would be better served to just properly dispose of them. Are there any other questions?

as a side effect does this medication cause a diminished or loss in vision ## Based on information I've gathered I haven't found anything regarding vision impairment; just a number of other potential side effects that may or may not have some indirect effect to vision. Common side effects may include dry mouth, itching, pinpoint pupils, dizziness, drowsiness, constipation, confusion, gas / heartburn, or flushed skin. If you experience irregular heartbeat or chest pain, difficulty breathing, wheezing, unusual weakness, cold / clammy skin, severe rash, fever, chills, or muscle aches and pains then notify your physician or prescriber ASAP!
