This dosage is no longer available, because the FDA changed the regulations and now require all combination medications to contain no more than 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dose, to reduce the risk of Acetaminophen toxicity. The FDA warns that this class of medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as headache, dry mouth, constipation, dizziness, and headache. Is there anything I can help with? ## wat is this wh...
I have sever neck and shoulder pain and have a pill that is from 2013 and not sure it is for pain. It is white with a score in the middle and M365 written on the opposite side. ## That is Hydrocodone 5 mg/Acetaminophen 325 mg. ## Here's an image for comparison: NDC: 00406-0365 This medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Is there anything I can help with?
Taking it for 3 yrs, back pain getting worse on 2 per day. The state is clamping down on opioids. What could my doctor prescribe for me at this point? ## Even with the clamp downs going on, your doctor can still prescribe necessary medications, they just have to be careful how much they prescribe and make sure there is a legitimate reason for the patient to need them. If the person has a possibly fatal illness, such as stage 4 cancer, such restrictions set forth by the DEA, exclude them. Too many doctors were prescribing pain medications, without verifying that a patient had a real reason to need them. The tablet you've mentioned is the 5/325mg dosage, so if your doctor things it may help, there is a 7.5/325mg dose and a 10/325mg that they could prescribe for you. The FDA classifies...
Has anyone else gotten this brand of 10mg hydrocodone from meijer pharmacy? And has anyone had problems? Any comments welcome. Asking because i recieved the 10mg of it yesterday and so far havent noticed any relief. Coments and replies please?? ## What is the name of pharmaceutical company that makes it? ## Camber makes some of the worst and most questionable narcotic analgesics on the market! You would get far more relief from 600mg to 800mg worth of ibuprofen liquid gels than most narcotic analgesics today! Never take this amount of ibuprofen without consulting your doctor first! The day of effective narcotic analgesics is over for the foreseeable future after all of them were reformulated in 2013-2014 to remove the chemical matrix that caused oxytocin to be released by the pituitary ...
How many tablespoons of hydrocodone/homatropine 5-1.5 mg/mL (out of 90 mL) do I give to my 7 year old child, weighing 65lbs? ## Please do not give any to a child, unless it has been prescribed for them, and if it has, please follow the dosing instructions. It is usually dosed by teaspoon, not tablespoon, a tablespoon, or more would be way too much, and could cause an overdose. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache. What symptoms is the child experiencing?
My bottle dates back two years old. Is it still OK to take? Wonder if it will harm me at this age? I'm sick with a cough and can't get out. ## I’m waiting to know what the difference in strength is between a hydrocodone-homatropine 5-1.5mg pill and a 10/325mg hydrocodone-acetaminophen pill, and how many of the hydrocodone-homatropine 5-1.5mg pills would I need to take to equal one of my 10/325 hydrocodone-acetaminophen pills? Can I also take my tramadol 50mg pills with the hydrocodone-homatropine 5-1.5mg pills? ## Mike, medications tend to lose efficacy once past their expiration date, so they may not work as well as they did, when they were new. Additionally, liquid medications can turn rancid, so they could actually make you ill. Thus, it would be best not to take it, bu...
I NEED TO KNOW IF I CAN GET THIS MEDICATION FOR A COUGH I HAVE HAD FOE THREE YEARS. I TAKE IT ONLY ONCE A DAY BECAUSE I PAY $182.00 A MONTH. I AM WIDOWED AND 65 YEARS OLD. I CAN NOT AFFORD TO PAY THIS AMOUNT. IF I SIGN FOR IT CAN I GET IT OVER THE COUNTER AND HOW MUCH IS IT.. SINCERELY CAROL ## Hello, Carol! How are you? No, this is not available over the counter. The hyd stands for Hydrocodone, which is a narcotic, so it is only available by prescription. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you discussed the issue with your doctor? They may be able to prescribe a cheaper alternative. As to the cough, do you know what's causing it? Are you on any ...
If anyone else is experiencing this junk hydrocodone by Mallinckrodt please complain to the FDA and also to the headquarters of whatever pharmacy you use. I find it absolutely crazy that this seems to be the only brand on the market anymore. You may as well just take a Tic Tac because these things do absolutely nothing for pain. ## Not every generic medication works well for everyone that tries it, unfortunately. It has also recently been discover that the inactive ingredients may not be as inactive as they originally thought according to this Science Alert article. As far as I'm aware, it is not the only product available, however, they might be the company that has most recently been offering the cheapest price through your pharmacy's distributor. The FDA warns that this medic...
My daughter has been taking hydrocodone 5/325 every 4 hrs since Thurs afternoon. 24 hrs ago, her dr moved it to every 6 hrs, and she took her last one at 615pm last night (it's now 1250a). Can you switch to extra strength, OTC acetaminophen now (500mg tabs)? Or should we wait longer after her last hydrocodone dose? Please advise. Thank you! ## You can take up to 3000mg of acetaminophen in a 24hr period. Anymore than that should be under a doctor's care/advice. ## According to the FDA, their 'liver warning' goes by a maximum daily dosage of 4,000 mg within a 24-hour period. This is not to say that you shouldn't consult with your doctor first, but it should allow for substantial flexibility in your dosing. If you're currently taking 1300mgs a day (325mgs four times...
I have been on hydrocodone for five years 10 mg for what started out for back pain. The time has come for me to stop since it has become an addiction. I will be out Friday 05/11/2012 and will begin to detox myself @ home. just wanting to know how long they take to get out of your system, and things to do to help while going through the with drawl process. ## While I don't have any personal experience with this medication, I have read that it could be in your system for about a week or so (depending on a number of factors). Usually for drugs like this, I think the safest way to stop taking them is to taper off them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of seve...
I was sent a prescription for hydrocodone and it has the imprint CFM on it. I am not sure what that is, and there was no information about this. I try to talk to the pharmacy overseas and no one will answer me. Please tell me what this could be. ## I was sent the same medication...did you ever find out what it was? ## Sorry, I tried several resources, but since it is a foreign medication, no one has been able to come up with a positive ID. ## I RECEIVED A PRECRIPTION FROM AN INDIAN COMPAN WITH NO IDENTIFICATION ON IT. IT IS OVAL IN SHAPE AND HAS THE LETTERS - CFM - ON IT. CAN YOU PLEASE IDENTIFY THIS DRUG FOR ME. IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE AN ORDER OF XANAX. ## I am very sorry, no one has, yet, been able to find an identification for this tablet. Many people have searched, to no avail. This i...
I took 6 hydrocodone within two days time. I am 5'6 and weigh 150. I have a drug test 9 days after. Will I pass? ## yes, you are fine ## I took a 10mg vic on saturday at 10am and i have a urine test on tuesday at 6:30pm will i pass? Please i need some info please help im real worried ## I hate to say it but most likely you will not. I just went through this. I took a half of one 325mg vicodin on Monday, I went to get my test done 2 Monday's later. The cup that I pee in with the paper on it that they peel off to see if anything is negative was fine. It was the following appointment I went to where he told me it was in my system. Its because they send my urine to a lab after you pee in the cup, which results don't come in for 2 weeks. So to answer your question, if your urine ...
I too had my RX medication refilled (again) at Walgreens, but this time (When I did not take my RX Tylenol with it, like I always do) I noticed, that I have been given a different Brand of medication (A Generic Brand/MFG by-ACTAVIS). My "Norco-Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen 5-325/TB" did not work as prescribed or even when I took 3 pills at one time (because 1 nor 2 pills didn't work/relieve my pain). I believe I have been given FAKE NORCO/Hydrocodone pills (white/#2172 on them) from Walgreens Pharmacy. Today I contacted the DEA & FDA via email and requested that they investigate my complaint as soon as possible. ## Hi Lisa, Sorry to hear about your experience with these new 2172 hydrocodone/acetaminophen tabs. There are actually several discussion threads here on MedsChat co...
Does hydrocodone acetaminophen 5 325 ingredients mfg actavis (watson) contain gluten? Please help! I have looked everywhwere and I can't find the answer. I am in pain and I'm afraid to take this pain medicine until I know for sure. thank you. ## Tammy, Is gluten a wheat product? Check on WebMD list of medicine, may have contents for you. ## Tammy, probably a stupid question, but did you check the medication links on this website? Usually very helpful ## Hello, Tammy! How are you? What are the markings on it? That information is the only way for me to be able to determine the correct manufacturer to find the correct ingredients list for you. Can you please post back and clarify? Thank you! This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause sid...
I am reading a lot of complaints about this drug. I was taking Watson 3202 5-325 for pain and it worked for my pain. Now Actavis makes 2172 in place of Watson 3202. I don't see any difference. ## Some people may be more sensitive to different inactive ingredients than others. Their bodies may also process/metabolize these ingredients at a different rate, affecting absorption. However, the amount of active ingredients in generic drugs is rumored to fluctuate by up to 20% more or less. I don't know if this varies from batch to batch, but I'm glad to hear that someone else is having a good experience with the 2172 pill, as it goes to show that everyone really does react differently, despite the nay sayers calling it a placebo by comparison to Watson's older products. Please...
I had surgery June 2nd 2017. After surgery I could not urinate so they put in a cath. After having the cath removed I took 1 flomax on June 5th 2017 around 4-4:30 in the afternoon. Haven't had any flomax since that time. Today is june 7th 2017. I have been taking Advil for pain. 8 during a 24 hour period because they said I could not take the hydrocodone with the flomax because of side effects. As it has been 48 hours since taking flomax, can I take the hydrocodone for pain now? ## Fred, hope you're healed now? Cath’s are the worst. Fast forward 1/9/2018, hope all is well and all you need is an Advil when you hurt; if you need that hydrocodone though go ahead. Good luck! I have just recently began a pain treatment clinic. I was prescribed hydrocodone 5mg with 325 mg acetaminophen. This is not working for me. What do I need to say to convince my Dr to change to oxycodone? ## How you tell the Dr. you want to change? That you want to change back to your old meds, pain pill. ## Just be honest with your doctor, tell them that the new medication isn't working for you, but you should do so, without asking for a specific replacement medication, let them suggest a solution, and then discuss your options from there. Oxycodone has a tendency to be addictive and is highly abused, which makes many doctors reluctant to prescribe it. It's other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Does anyone else have any advice to...
ID an oval/oblong pill, check mark or v on one side, 3504 on the other. White with blue specks. ## I have identified a substantially similar tablet. It is white and oblong with red specs and the inscription V 3604: This tablet contains Acetaminophen 325 mg / Hydrocodone 5 mg (NDC 0603-3890). My husband is disabled. has had 3 hip replacement surgeries, moved to southwest michigan last month. husband's dr that was prescribing pain medication just up'ed and quit. now he is without a dr and can't find one taking pre-existing chronic pain. he really needs a family dr. he also has other issues & health problems. if anyone knows of a dr taking new patients could you please reply. thank you ## Hello, LindyLynne! How are you? Part of the problem here may be due to looking for a doctor to treat pre-existing chronic pain. If you call a new doctor and ask them about that, they're going to think you're a drug seeker and turn you away. He needs to just find a new PCP, without asking about that, once his records are transferred there and he goes in for an appointme...
I’m SUPER conserned because my pharmacy has switched from the yellow Qualitest Norco to 2 different brands I must choose from: Tris Pharma & Lupin Pharma. They are 10/325 Norco. I have Trigeminal Neuralgia, fibromyalgia, back surgeries in past and I’m told in future. I can’t stand the idea of being in pain all month. Any advise on which brand to get? I have been given the white Watson brand and the other white ones that say M367 (I think it’s a 7 at the end) they were 10/325 non the less. The Watson brand was ok but the M367 was like taking nothing sometimes. Please help me decide. Those are the only brands I can find. I am so afraid I’ll be in pain all month like I was with the M367 and Watson brands. ## The only way to really find out is by trying one...
