Was given RX Hydrocod/acetaminophen 7.5-325/15ML every 4-6hrs. Can you also use liquid tylenol 500 mg over the counter together, alternating? ## You should not combine OTC tylenol with any prescription meds that also contain tylenol. my doctor gave me a prescription for norcos 10's. when I went to the pharmacy they gave me a yellow oblong pill with 170 on one side and nothing on the other. They told me it was norco 10. did they make a mistake ## If it has 170 on it, is oblong & yellow it is Hydrocodone 7.5 mg/Acetaminophen 325 mg. It does not have Hydrocodone 10 mg in it. Instead it has Hydrocodone 7.5 mg. ## The identification provided is correct. NDC: 57664-0170 The FDA wants that Norco carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. I'm sure they're more than a few of you out there that might be returning to look into basically the same problems with Mallinckrodt Pharm"s Hydrocodone/APAP 7.5/325, commonly referred to as Norco. About 4 years ago, Mallinckrodt dumped a bunch of this product on the US market. I have been taking Norco for about 12 years & have always been at about the same dose and never had any problems until I ran into this brand. I've had Actavis, Watson, & Qualtest brands with relatively no noticeable difference. Then four years ago, I filled my usual prescription and came home to find a different shaped tablet with M366 on the side. I filled the prescription as I have done for the last several years. Got a yellow tablet with 10 98 on one side and a V on the other. It does not work. I'm moving to Tulsa, OK and need to find a pain management doc that will not do injections, but does give meds. I have been told not to have them done by my anesthesiologist and pain management doc due to where my problem is, past surgeries..neck.. I have two medications that are made by Qualitest (which I understand both have been moved to other Pharmaceutical Co.) 1. Hydrocodone 10/325 cannot find locally in Qualitest brand so I have been prescribed Mallinckrodt. They cause my ears to ring at an extremely high level that I can't think or do anything. I am extremely nauseous constantly. This ringing in my ears is driving me crazy. No pharmacy will get the Qualitest brand. 2. What they look like is entirely up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer, so each one made by a different company will look different and even within a company how they appear will vary according to the dosage. Why would hydrocodone show up in my urine test if I have not taken any opiates? ## Can you post back with information on anything else you have taken? Even over the counter products? There are some substances that can cause false positives for opiates on urine tests and it does occur most often with these synthetic opiates, which is what Hydrocodone is. ## This just happened to my husband.
