I have taken methadone for about 9 yrs. and other pain medicines before that. I have chronic pain post polio syndrome, Degenerative arthritis, Degenerative disc. in back due to severe Scoliosis. New laws passed , so my Doctor stopped doing pain management, not sure why. The pain management clinics are expensive and they do not take medicaid. I need a Doctor for pain management that can prescribe pain medication, but who takes medicaid patients. The Disable and poor are out of luck now. Need Doctor from south Arkansas ## I'm sorry, but even for any listings I find in your area, I have no way of knowing what types of insurance they accept. Have you tried asking your doctor for a referral somewhere else? Have you tried contacting your local Medicaid office to see if they have a list of...

what is the number on the pill. It is white oval with a indentation across it in the middle. It is quite lage ## how old can the drug Hydroco/apap5-500mg be to be effective? The tab number is m357 ## I was just prescribed this drug yesterday....it has the same # on it - M357, if that means anything. ## As to the markings on them, that can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, and according to dosage. The tablets listed with the M 357 marking contained 5mgs of Hydrocodone, and 500mgs of Acetaminophen, but this dosage is no longer available, the FDA now allows no more than 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dose in combination prescription medications. The FDA warns that Hydrocodone carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, consti...

I live in Sioux Falls SD and I am trying to find a doctor that will prescribe pain meds. I had a pain management doctor that prescribed 4 10 mg hydrocodones a day, but moved to Nevada. Now I have moved back and she is full and can’t see me. I have arthritis, spinal stenosis, fibromyalgia, degenerative disc disorder and a spinal fusion. My doctor keeps sending me in for epidurals for my lower back, and they sometimes work for two or three months, but it doesn’t help with the pain every where else. I work 10 hour days and barely make it through. Thinking about filling for disability, but I know it’s a long road. ## Very few, if any, people will recommend pain Doctors because that will normally cause too many people to come to them. The Doctor may think that they have bee...

Been on this for years and again these 2172 are not the same. They must differ in someplace. I get nauseous from them. After taking them almost 20 years there has to be something off here or I wouldn't feel this way. I can take a 10/660 Watson be fine and take a 5/325 2172 and within 30 min I want to vomit! ## Well, you are mentioning 2 different dosages, the pill with the 2172 marking contains 5mgs of Hydrocodone, and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, it is distributed by Major Pharmaceuticals. NDC: 00904-6567 So, if you are used to taking a higher dose, such as the other you've mentioned, then you may be experiencing some withdrawal effects, which may include nausea, headache, vomiting, rebound pain, and sedation, according to FDA reports. Was your dosage supposed to be changed?

My pill for hydrocodone 10/325. Is white, oblong and had 3601*v imprinted on it. Just got it from Walmart. Is this the correct pill? I am used to taking the yellow oblong. ## Yeah I got mine today and to my surprise they were white not yellow but very similar except for the white is V 3609 and the yellow is V 3601. I was dissapointed because I hate the white ones no matter what brand. I hope they don't stopped making the yellow like watson did. Now they serve u watson 853 in white! ## Many people here on MedsChat are saying the same thing about these V 3609 white pills being less effective. I think Post #1 is right about the white ones lacking efficacy all across the board from one manufacturer to the next. I've noticed a growing trend in action - Actavis's generic norco for...

I have been on the same medication for 3 years how do i go about asking my dr to change my medications. How do i explain to him that they no longer releave me pain any longer ? ## Just talk to them about it, your doctor should be well aware that the same dosage and/or same medication doesn't work for anyone forever and they will require a dosage adjustment, or switch to a different medication sooner or later. You're actually very fortunate that it worked for you for 3 years. What medication where you taking? ## wasnt aware thanks for info ## Hi Dianabrn! As Dr. Verwon said," just have a talk with your doctor." I'm sure he/she will understand. I was in the same situation as you when I was on pain meds. Your body also builds up a tolerance to the medication when taken ...

NDC: 00406-0361 The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. if the 10 mgs of hydrocodone(loracets) are the same as any other pain relievers containing 10 mgs of hydrocodone (ex: narco, loratab....) why do the 10 mg loracets seem to work twice as good as the others. ## Because the different amount of Acetaminophen plays a role, it basically enhances the effects of the narcotic, so it works better. However, they do have to limit the amount of Acetaminophen that is used, because if a person takes too much of it in a day, it can be severely toxic. Thus, these amounts have been carefully formulated to provide safety and efficacy. Are there any other questions or comments? ## not experienced in this field. I always used loracet. from what I understand Lortab is hydrocodone bitartrate and lortab is the same with 5 grain aspirin (~350mg acetaminophen). ...

can I take hydrocodone 15 hours after taking tylenol ## Hi Jack, Based on my research, after about 6-8 hours there should only be very small amounts of Tylenol left in your system. However, that could change depending on the amount taken. How many Tylenol did you take? Learn More: Tylenol Details ## I took two 500mg doses of regular Tylenol roughly an hour ago. Is it safe to take one 5-325mg tablet of Norco (hydrocodone/tylenol)? I am in excruciating pain. ## You can take it at the same time! Most hydrocodone drugs have Tylenol in them.!!!

I have serious pain issues due to multiple construction accidents and a lifetime of heavy lifting. I was dismissed from Bluegrass Pain Specialist for coming up positive for THC because I was seeking alternative medications in lieu of increasing my dosage of hydrocodone. I am 55 and have two brothers that have died because of high doses of hydrocodone and oxycodone. The hydrocodone really helps, however, I do not want to increase my dosage. I now suffer. Please help. ## If you are lucky enough to have a good Methadone clinic near you, I would go on that. Then, you can wean off, VERY SLOWLY though, like a few Milligrams at a time after you reach a comfortable level for you. Or simply stay on it (called Maintenance). It is an answer for many Oxycontin users. I will say that it is not as go...

I have a white pill, oval shaped with WPI 4011 on it. What is it? ## What is WPI 4011? My dentist prescribed as Hydrocodone (says on bottle too) - web says its Ibuprofen. Can someone tell me? ## WPI 4011 contains 600mgs of Ibuprofen, a generic for Motrin. ## Wpi 4011 - what is it does it contain? Hydrocodone? ## Looks like it's Ibuprofen 600 mg manufactured by Teva / Actavis (not Hydrocodone). I found a picture from CVS, but you have to scroll through a bunch of photos to get it. after reading about so many types of codone medications, I was wondering why is there so many different kinds. Aren't most of them suppose to treat pain control. While reading the articles on a lot of them they all say the same thing. Why can't a patent be for a lifetime instead letting them expire and letting every pharmacustical company produce their own version and confusing everybody about which one is best. I could only come up with one answer for this question. MONEY RULES and a persons life really doesn't matter. I feel like the original makers should have the opportunity to either improve or discontinue making any and all pain Meds that they produce, giving the next maker a chance to produce it's version. For example: There should be just one form of Hydrocodone,...

If I have taken 7 hydrocodone a day for the past week and my prescription is for 10/325 every 4 hrs.. will I b ok? ## My prescriptions is to take every 12 hours an I have 60 hydrocodone pills. How many should I have left after 28 days ## If you took 2 a day (every 12 hours) multiply that by 28 days and you would have taken 56 pills. That would leave you with 4. Are the pills extended release? ## Tom, if you were experiencing an overdose, you'd have noticed by now, and been forced to seek medical attention. However, you should make sure to inform your doctor of the error, so they can watch you for any signs of possible ill health effects. You will likely also run out sooner than you should. I'm allergic to aspirin and ibuprofen and I was wondering if hydrocodone acetaminophen 7.5-325 has any of that in it? Thanks ## No it does not. It's only hydrocodone and Tylenol. VICOPROFIN does have ibuprofen in it so stay away from that! All the best, HOUSE ## No it does not have any of that in it. It is two different kind of medication ## No. Hydrocodone has acetaminophen which is the ingredient in Tylenol. ## @cheeky, Yes, I agree with what everyone else said. Just to help clarify, every drug name which you listed in your message are actually different ingredients altogether. So if you are allergic to Aspiring and Ibuprofen, you might be able to take Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen (which are 2 completely different drugs). As long as your doctor is aware of your drug allergies...

what are thr uses of hybroprofen? 2 isomers (active & inactive) of hybroprofen & the effect of each by itself & with another drug. ## Hydroprofen is a combination medication that contains Hydrocodone and Ibuprofen, so it combines a narcotic analgesic with a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. I do not, however, have a list of the inactive ingredients, since this particular one isn't available in the U.S. I'm sorry. Learn more Ibuprofen details here. Learn more Hydrocodone details here. And the possible interactions with another drug would depend on what other drug you are asking about. There are many that it can interact with and I can't list them all. Was given RX Hydrocod/acetaminophen 7.5-325/15ML every 4-6hrs. my doctor gave me a prescription for norcos 10's. when I went to the pharmacy they gave me a yellow oblong pill with 170 on one side and nothing on the other. Instead it has Hydrocodone 7.5 mg. ## The identification provided is correct. I'm sure they're more than a few of you out there that might be returning to look into basically the same problems with Mallinckrodt Pharm"s Hydrocodone/APAP 7.5/325, commonly referred to as Norco. About 4 years ago, Mallinckrodt dumped a bunch of this product on the US market. I have been taking Norco for about 12 years & have always been at about the same dose and never had any problems until I ran into this brand. I've had Actavis, Watson, & Qualtest brands with relatively no noticeable difference. Then four years ago, I filled my usual prescription and came home to find a different shaped tablet with M366 on the side. Almost immediately after my first dose, first came the stomach ache, then the headache, and eventually the feeling of withdrawal. I went to the...
