I was just prescribed this drug yesterday....it has the same # on it - M357, if that means anything.

As to the markings on them, that can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, and according to dosage.

The tablets listed with the M 357 marking contained 5mgs of Hydrocodone, and 500mgs of Acetaminophen, but this dosage is no longer available, the FDA now allows no more than 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dose in combination prescription medications.

The FDA warns that Hydrocodone carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

As to the expiration, if they are in a bottle as dispensed from your pharmacy, they are usually good for one year from the date you receive them. After that, they may begin to lose efficacy.
