I have had disc surgery and need it again the time I had it I had Watson laboratory 7.5 and it helped the pain considerably. The hydrocodone you get now is not any better than taking Tylenol 500. You answered my question in the summary which reads one pill in the prescription has the correct amount and the others can have 20% of the amount specified. My family doctor subscribed 10mg Hydro's for me for continuing pain from a lumbar x 4 back fushion. He told me that these were DOT exceptable providing they did not cause drowsiness. Now that he can no longer do DOT medicals with the laws being changed the new DOT Doc says I have to stop taking them even when prescribed and not at work! I've been prescribed hydrocodone for 13 years for pain from severe injuries in a motorcycle accident. I've never asked for more before my prescription has reached its refill date. Sometimes I have gone twice as long before refilling. I use this medication when the pain is severe and goes on for 3 or 4 days. I've managed my pain and medication and of course I've run the gauntlet of tests and treatments. I was scheduled to have my right arm amputated at the shoulder months after the accident as it was paralyzed and had cellulitis. These are both made by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals and they list the one with the 3601 marking as containing 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The one with the 2355 on it contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen, 50mgs of Butalbital and 40mgs of Caffeine. My friends mom fell and broke her back in 2 places. Any way she is seventy two years old and has a really hard time trying to sleep or do anything. I have two different drugs given for two different dental surgeries. The first one, the 7.5-300 says to take every 6-8 hours so I thought it was the stronger of the two. The other one says to take every 4-6 hours. Which of these drugs is really stronger? I hurt my back while on vacation and a doctor said he could not prescribe hydrocodone, which is what my normal doctor gives me, because I am not a Florida resident. My doctor moved and after being prescribed 4 hydrocodone 10/325mg a day for 7 years. I'm having the worst time finding a doctor to prescribe it to me again. NSAIDS don't do anything to help.
