I wrote asking if it was a regular release pill. It took me several times writing to them to get a kind of answer.... they said it was not extended release but they didnt know much about the pills as far as breaking, chewing and crushing. I asked them because i have dysphagia and cant swallow that big pill. I asked why they wouldnt recommend breaking or chewing this pill and they said they just didnt have that info. If they dont, who does? They abosulutely baffled me with their inability to give a clear and firm answer. i have been breaking them into quarters so i can swallow them easier. I was prescribed this for a severe cough , is this a cough suppressant or is it also good to loosen the congestion ## Elizabeth hydrocodone is a smooth muscle relaxer and can be used to help relax the cough response. a suppressant. the apap is Tylenol. if there are no other ingredients it dose nothing for the congestion. hope this helps ## Hydrocodone is a narcotic pain killer not a muscle relaxer

I have a drug test Wednesday. I am going to start taking my Norco regimen 5 / 325 on Monday, hoping to test positive.. is it likely that I will be positive if taken for 2 days before my urine test?? I need these pain relievers. Even if I don't take all day as directed, I like to take as needed.... Thx

I posted earlier my difficulty in finding a physician that will write Lortab/Norco and that especially since I do not have insurance I can not afford to pay $100 just to be told they wont write any narcotic.I have all necessary documentation for my legitimate need for medication, I used to take 120 30 mg roxicette monthly so i am definitely not trying to obtain a ridiculous amount of meds, just need some relief, I cant afford to miss work because I'm hurting too much to get out of bed nor do I want to buy them off the street which we all know is possible. If u take 500 mg of hydrocodone. How many 1.5 's would you have to take to make it near 500 ## The most Acetaminophen that a tablet that is prescription can have in it now is 325 mg. Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen comes in 3 strengths, Hydrocodone 10/Acetaminophen 325, Hydrocodone 7.5/Acetaminophen 325 and Hydrocodone 5/Acetaminophen 325. ## @Rest, I've never heard of anyone taking 500mgs of Hydrocodone, except throughout the duration of an entire monthly or bi-weekly script (i.e. if you took two 7.5mg tablets [15mg] a day for 33 days, you'd be at 495 mgs)... but for the sake of answering the question at hand, if you were to simply divide 500mg by 1.5mg, it would come out to roughly 333 1.5mg doses - Something that would have to require a patient to divide their 5mg pills into 1/...

I had a spinal during csection it didn't go well and my back is in constant pain it's so bad I cry myself to sleep ## The best thing to do is go to you primary care Dr or obgyn. Let him know what is going on with you ask him if he can write you a prescription for pain order x-rays, mri's , c-t scan and refer you to a pain clinic. How long has it been since your csection? If not long and you are in that much pain I would consider ER. Seeing it is saturday so they can rule out any injury to bones, spinal cord , or nerves . Also they will help u with pain meds for a few days. Can't say for sure if it will be hydrocodone but if the pain is that bad they will give you a pain shot or pain pill so you have relief before you leave.

I was recently released from the hospital and was given a lot of anti anxiety medication, large amounts with opiates causing an overdose. I have taken multiple types of pain medication I have osteoarthritis among some other problems as well. This is one I know nothing about I have taken multiple hydrocodone products I've taken Norco I've taken vicodin and things lortab lorcet lorcet plus I have even taken percocets.all of these were IR drugs . Old story, I took too many this month when I hurt my back, the pain was terrible, anyway I will be 2 pills short, will that be a big problem? ## Taking too many pain medications as prescribed by your doctor is no means that you Will lose your pain meds.However in this case talking to your doctor would be the number one step, He or she may adjust your medication.

I had been taking hydro 325 7.5 and diazepam for a number of years now for arthritis in my back and neck, tendonitis, nerve pain, degenerative muscle disease in shoulders and it worked pretty good for me. I was given Tylenol3 and flexerel which didn't help at all but now she wants to give me hydro 5 325 alone which does nothing. Although nothing completely stops the pain could you suggest something that i could talk with my doctor about that could possibly help everything?

Why do they affect me differently? I can function OK and complete my work outs with M367, but the yellow Watson 853 renders me useless - they just put me to sleep. Aren't they the same ingredients? By the way, the white watson 853, though they take longer to take effect, they work ok. ## Yes, the active ingredients are the same, but there can be slight fluctuations in the amounts from one generic to another, so that may be what's affecting you. Since the one from Watson puts you to sleep, it likely has a slightly higher amount of the Hydrocodone than the other one. Learn more Vicodin details here. white oblong with imprint m357 and a line on other side ## Hydrocodone 5 mg/Acetaminophen 325 mg. ## Hello, Just wanted to add a minor correction to the dosage strength listed in post #1. A white oblong pill marked M357 actually contains 5mg of Hydrocodone + "500mg" of Acetaminophen, made by Mallinckrodt. For verification, this particular tablet also carries a National Drug Code of 00406-0357. Having said that, I'm a little doubtful about whether this pill is still being made, considering that 325mgs of Acetaminophen is the new maximum dose that's allowed in prescriptions. I received an RX from my pharmacy for HYDROCODONE - ACETAMINOPHEN, 10/325, Generic for Norco. It says it's "Qualitest". The pill is oval, VERY light yellow, has the number 3601 with a 'break line' between the six and the zero. On the flip side is a "V". Here's my problem. I had some pills left over from a prior script and the tablets looked the same with one exception -- the "V" on the new script is "right side up". In other words, you can roll the pill towards you and if you start out being able to read the numbers "right side up", as you roll the pill -- you will still be able to read the "V" right side up.
