why does taking my hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325 TB before I go to sleep at night make me have less pain during the day? ## Apparently, it works very well for you, there's really no other explanation that can be given for this. Medications sometimes work better for some people than for others and it's usually matter of trial and error to find which one works best for you, without causing unwanted side effects. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it may carry the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. I have been taking 10mg oxycodone every 6 hrs and 20mg oxycontin for 5 yrs. I never run out and never ask for an early script. Last month on the 2nd my dr did a urine test. When i went in this month i was told the dr wont see me cuz it came back neg. I told and showed them a test I took on 11th for a job that showed positive! I told them I never ever don't take meds. What can I do? Surely taking them the same way for 5 yrs it would have built up in my system? This is first and only test the Dr ever did. Please help. I'm at a loss as they won't redo. I'm in severe pain. I also take synthroid 200mcg, Lunesta, Prozac and Aleve.

I took a half a lortab on Tuesday at 1pm and drank lots of water.. on Thursday at 9am I took a panel test and passed. This was sent to a lab. Will it pass a lab test? I just had knee surgery may 3rd.I had Hydromorphone and ran out and because of the slow healing process that i am experencing,My Doc gave me hydrocodone 5/325's.He said to take 1-2 every for pain,but it doesn't seem to be working.Should I wait a while longer to see if it does.I DON'T want to take very high does of acedaminophin because of liver damage. ## You can take Ibprofin with this. ## You are correct to worry about taking too much of the Acetaminophen, not only does it risk liver damage, but it can be toxic if you take too much of it in a day. I have dealt with chronic pain for years (2002). I have been meticulous about taking meds as prescribed, believing my PA wouldn't steer me wrong. For 8 years, I took 10/325 hydrocodone, six times a day.. It damn near killed me-not the opiate, but the Tylenol-1950 mgs a day. i changed doctors so I could get opiates w/o all the clutter of Tylenol. I was worried I would become a drooling junkie, waiting to rob a drug store. Has anyone ever seen or know of a hydrocodone m367 pill but thicker than usual? ## Hi Courtney, In my experience I've never come across any that were thicker than usual. I know its size is reported to be approximately 15mm. Maybe you could measure it for verification... Did you get this pill filled at a licensed pharmacy or was it through some other means? I only ask because it does seem rather unusual for drug companies to put out inconsistent batches (albeit, probably still happens from time to time). One idea though would be to take it into a local pharmacy and see if they'll be willing to compare it with another one that they have in stock. Maybe doing so will at least bring some peace of mind in knowing that it was evaluated among several other real ones. Hope this helps!

Looking for a pain management Dr in Naples, Fl. Currently seeing one in Fort Myers and I think I am going to have to make a change. I need a Dr who will listen to me, not judge me or make me feel judged. I have scoliosis, arthritis, degenerative disc disease and protruding disc and once I told my dr my medicine wasn't as effective, (after 3 years) the PA decided to wean me off of my meds as if I did something wrong for being truthful. I hardly take anything as is, I only take hydrocodone 7.5, 4x a day. And now they have me on 5 3xs a day. I get injections for disc in lower and upper back. My head aches was maybe 3-4x a week. My last injection for my head ache was almost 2 months ago,the next day and every day after i get head aches on left side of my head 3-4 times a day and 1-2 times a night an wakes me from sleep an stays tender. I cant sleep any more being they last 1-2 hrs an puts me almost on my knees in pain. I do get prescribed meds also but dont seem to help with my head. I dont know what to do to stop them. What is this pill? I was told it's Hydrocodone from Russia but I need confirmation. ## Hi mijaja, Any pill with no imprint could literally be anything from A to Z. I think your best bet in this type of scenario would be to have it analyzed by a lab or drug panel to at least verify the presence of opiates/etc... Did you get this pill from a pharmacy on the web or through some other means? If I had to guess I would agree with you that it's probably not of US origin, being that the FDA requires imprints on their prescription drugs. However, it doesn't rule out the possibility of something over-the-counter or foreign and for that reason alone I think you'll need a more trustworthy (or evidence-based) way to verify and measure its contents.

I took a half of hydrocodone 10\325 mg at 12 a.m. I went to work at 3 p.m. & had a seizure & fell on concrete busting my head. I went to emergency room by ambulance, I got 8 staples in my head, had to do a urine test about 8:30 p.m.. How long does hydrocodone stay in your system? Im wondering why I would be able to take darvacett & percocetts but I cant take vicodin. Arent theese medications all the same? Would the fact that I have a codeine allergy make a difference?
