I read many articles claiming that the opiate portion of a Vicodin tablet is in the specks. Any truth? ## Hello, Demetria! How are you? No, it is not true. They colored specks are exactly that, just colored specks that the manufacturer used to make their pills look different than all the others on the market. How a tablet looks is entirely up to their whit and whim. The Medication, however, is dispersed throughout the entire tablet. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is there a pain management doc in Indy that will see you without a referral? I have no family doc but have been seeing a pain management doc since '90's. Is taking away all pain meds except patches. Was taking 10/325 Hydrocodone per day with 25 fentanyl. Every doc I call to see if I can find someone to just leave me where I was requires a referral and records faxed from doctors office. I have my records but they won't take from me. Any help on this would be much appreciated. ## Indygirl, unfortunately there are some patients that try and alter their medical records. That is the reason they want your medical records to be sent directly from your previous drs office. If you can't find a dr that will take you without a referral, you may have to find a pcp. It also isn't...

My boyfriend has hip problems from being in the military but doesn't take meds unless it gets bad. He had surgery 5 yrs ago where he had screws implanted in but he refuses to go to the doctor regularly and get prescribed meds. I had surgery about a month ago and had some hydrocodone 7.5 APAP 325 w/ acetaminophen and one night it got bad for him so he took one and only one. Now he has a hair test for a job. They will most likely pull it from his body not scalp. Do you think he has a chance at passing? He took the pill a week ago.

I was given a Genelex mouth swab test to see how my body reacted to different medication and which one was better for my makeup and it showed that I did not react well 2 hydrocodone or morphine, that the top painkillers did not work for me so I don't know what to use for pain medication. I have chronic pain and severe pain. What would you suggest? Steroid shots do not work either.

Could you please tell me how many pills of hydrocodone equals 120 milligram bottle of hydrocodone 5 cough syrup ## Hello, Terry! How are you? What is the precise dosage of the syrup? There should be something on the label that lists how many milligrams are in each teaspoon. It usually looks like 5mg/5ml, or something similar. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Thanks the dosage is 5mg/5ml per teaspoon i would like to know how many hydrocodone pills equal a 120 ml bottle of hydrocodone syrup.

The tablet with the Watson 461 marking is listed by them as containing 10mgs of Glipizide, which is used to treat diabetes by helping to lower and control blood sugar. The FDA lists it as being known to cause stomach pain and flatulence as side effects. You may also experience nausea, dizziness and hypoglycemia.

We did a locker search and came up with some marijuana, hydrocodone and a black capsule with a dark syrupy fluid inside. There are no indicators on the capsule to help identity the pill nor is the bottle marked. Can anyone help to id this pill? ## Hello, Lynn! How are you? Without any markings, it's hard to say, but it sounds like it could be something similar to Dronabinol, which is a derivative of the THC in marijuana that's used medicinally to treat nausea, vomiting and to increase appetite, as explained by the FDA. There have been some available on the street that match this description. As I said, I can't be certain, so this is just a guess, based on your description. Does anyone else recognize this capsule?

I take one hydrocodone 5/325 every night for pain and helping me sleep Can I continue taking this dose daily? ## Hello, Bonnie! How are you? Only your doctor can help you decide how long you can safely take it, but many people do take it on a long-term basis for chronic pain. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Are you on any other medications?

Hi, my sister was prescribed some liquid hydrocodone, the label reads: take 7.4 ml every six hours 5/5000mg/15ml. What would that be in pill form? ## That would be equivalent to 2.5mgs Hydrocodone and 250mgs of Acetaminophen, per 7.4ml. Or a 5mgs Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen per 15ml. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I found some white pills. Oblong, the number 5 on one side, the other side is scored down the middle. The letters BP on half and the numbers 648 on the other half. Took two 10 325 hydrocodone on tuesday will it show up on a urine or blood test on friday? ## Hi Robbie, I can't find any specific details as to when Hydrocodone will show up in a blood test, but in regards to a urine test I found that it can be detected in a time frame of 1-6 days after you last took it. Based on this information, the odds of it showing up in your system on Friday are still likely, but if you drink lots of fluids and exercise regularly it should leave your system sooner. I hope this helps! ## I know it will show up in urine , in one week . However , it will be weak in your system . Unlike valium , valium sticks with you up to 4-6 weeks . Please allow , up to 10 days , for it to clear out . Providing you're not taking them on a regular basis . If you're taki...

Finally, I have found something that relieves my terrible cluster headaches. I have had them for over a year, been on verapimil (which did not work), and suffer horribly. are these fake. The bottle says Hydrocodone 10/325 Norco but have seen watson 19/ 325 printed on the pill ## Has anyone responded to this post? I, too, have seen pills held up to be hydrocodone 10/325, which have the lettering Watson on one side and 10/325 under it. I have not seen that image in any of the online sources I have seen. Either they are fake or Watson used to, but no longer, makes pills with that image. ## Watson is just the manufacturer, this is one of their tablets. found a pill with the letter and numbers want to know what it is ## No, this tablet does not contain Hydrocodone, nor any type of narcotic. If it is a larger, oval, white tablet with G254 on one side, then this is an over the counter product that contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a generic or store brand of Extra Strength Tylenol. I'm having some trouble. I'm currently on probation, and I broke my thumb 4 days ago. Three days ago I took a Hydrocodone for the pain (without a prescription.) I drank a lot of water to try and flush it out. But today I took a small quarter of an Oxycontin 30 mg for the pain. My question is how long is this gonna be in my system? I'm only 135 lbs, I don't know if that makes a difference or not. Please if anyone can give me input it would be greatly appreciated. I'm not an abuser, just have no medical insurance. ## Most narcotic opiates are detectable in standard urine tests for approximately 4 to 5 days, after last dosing. The precise time frame will vary from person to person, depending on your metabolism, overall health, activity levels, fluid intake and etc. but ...

II have been taking 10/325 - 3 per day for three (3) years. Never abuse it, but seems after the last dose at 2:30pm I go downhill towards night. Feel like the flu sometimes. Mornings feel like a out of shape 98 year old and I'm in my 50's. On worst days about 7 or 8pm I'll drink three (3) 16 ounce beers to help me sleep and it brings me back to life or 50%. I never drink more than 3. Is this my body asking for more? I do not want more due to one day planning on asking the doctor to get off and deal with the pain from an injury. Arm and spine injury. I look at my clock these days and can almost know what time it is to take one 10/325. My ribs ache in the morning and thought may be constipation being I take another pill to try to keep me regular and not always successful. Coul...

I have diabetic neuropathy and uncontrolled sugar levels. I have been on norco for about four years and now my doctor said she has cut my prescription in half and sometimes won't refill it at all because she said it is dangerous if your sugars are out of control. Is this true and why has it never been mentioned before? ## Hello, Kelly! How are you? Some of its typical side effects may mask the symptoms of low blood sugar. For example, the FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness and drowsiness… which could also be symptoms of hypoglycemia. Thus, if someone thinks their only experiencing them due to the opiate and doesn't check their blood sugar levels, they could drop low and may end up in a coma. What do you take for your diabetes?
