Hydrocodone Or Naproxen - Ip 190/500

I've seen Naproxen and have been told Vicodin has this imprint as well. Are Naproxen and Vicodin the same?

Naproxen and Vicodin are two very different pain medications. To my understanding, the similarities found in the imprint are just a sign that they had been manufactured or redistributed by the same company (Amneal Pharmaceuticals).

The IP 190 500 tablet contains Naproxen 500mg (NDC 65162-0190); a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug.

The IP 109 tablet contains Vicodin (Acetaminophen 325mg + Hydrocodone 5mg); which is a combination of two types of pain medicine - Hydrocodone being an opiate narcotic pain reliever. (NDC 53746-109):

You are probably confused because the markings are similar. Generic Norco 5/325mg (Hydrocodone/acet.) is marked with Ip 109. The pill you have that is marked Ip 190 and 500 is Naproxen.

Acetaminophen is not an NSAID--totally different analgesic mechanism.

coming from a pharma. engineer - naproxen is an anti-inf and hydrocodone is, in itself, an opiate - although it is usually paired with a tylenol-based/similar comination. This ID is definitely naproxen - and the two present very different dangers. Please research the risks of the two before attempting any recreational use, although hydrocodone abuse is much more prevalent. Unfortunately, both have abuse potential because they are prescribed with pain-inhibiting intentions. However, napoxen is used as an anti-inflammatory and has a much lower abuse potential than hydrocodone. The latter (hydrocdone), is a narcotic, and presents a significantly more severe threat than the former (naproxen). Please, refrain from abusing these medicines.

They are two totally different drugs. Hydrocodone and naproxen are both painkillers but one's a narcotic and the other one is an anti-inflammatory medication.
