Hydrocodone Apap 7.5-325

I had a tooth extraction yesterday, been taking I Norco 7.5-325 regularly since; took one pill an hour ago and the pain is still unbearable, can I take one more or even half a pill more?

Hi Ryan,

Generally with this type of drug the dosing instructions indicate that you should take 1 pill every 4-6 hours or so. I could be wrong, but I think this is mainly due to the concerns associated with Acetaminophen and liver toxicity.

From my own personal experience, it should be fine to take a half a pill more, as they do make a stronger norco with 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. So it would be as if you're taking the stronger version of the drug.

Actually, if the pain is still that bad, after having had the tooth extracted, then something is wrong and you need to be seen by the dentist, again.

Once the tooth is removed, the pain shouldn't be so severe. There may be a piece of tooth or root in there that was not fully removed and may require more attention and, if that is the case, then no amount of medication is going to help.

What type of pain are you feeling?

An extracted tooth should be achy for the first 24 hours or so, then only mildly achy after that, unless you put pressure on the area.

I don't think it would hurt you. I can barley take anything, almost everything makes me sick. But they have recently taken vicodin off the market they are subing it for Norco at 325mg. It's all about the acetaminopen. They can't do 500mg of it any more. Now when I was taking vicodin I took 7.5/ 500mg. 1 was ok for a little bit and now that I'm on Norco I have to take 2-3 tabs and I'm still not out of pain. So for a whoss like me that can't take much it's not hurting me as far as making me sick but it's not helping my pain either. Why didn't your Dentist give you script of tylenol# 3 or 4? Thats what they gave my husband and it got him out of pain.I think they are stronger but I don't know I'm allergic to codene.

650mg of APAP is well within safe limits. They sell 800mg varieties of APAP alone. My concern is more... why you would be in that much pain after the tooth, and theoretically, its nerve are both gone. You may be experiencing "dry socket," which can occur especially if you smoke after an extraction. That should definitely be attended to by your dentist and quickly.

I was prescribed hydrocodone 7.5/325 for pain from infections in two teeth. I took one & it made me feel awful! I thought about cutting it in half but there is not cut line. I tought they all had these lines. was I given the wrong pills? im very concerned.

Does the hydroco/apap7.5-325 have motrin in it or tylenol.

jen apap is tylenol, and the 325 indicates it has 325mg of tylenol along with the 7.5 of hydrocodone.

They told me to eat and try half 7.5-325 and if I need to I can take a whole one.

If someone is taking pain medication on a daily basis for a long period of time. Dependacy is a guarantee. Sorry that's just the way it works.

Depending on how much of a struggle it took to get the tooth out...the pain can be better than before....also in my experience ive had it be unbearable after.

I am taking two 7.5/235 hydrocodone every 4-6 hours I am taking them every 4 though because I can't handle the pain well. i am 16 and had my wisdom teeth out yesterday. Hope this helps.

I had 1 tooth pulled and 1 wisdom tooth cut out this morning. I have taken 2 of the 7.5-325 and have no pain now. No they do not have lines in them.

You could,take 5 of N 352 and you wouldnt know you took anything! M360 are the best. These B 352 have no effect at all. I doubt theres any hydrocodone in them. I feel like I took a placebo or just straight acetaminophen. You could really take 3 and feel nothing. Sucky pharmaceutical company. Ever!

Thank you. I suffer from post polio syndrome and for three nights in a row I have had extreme muscle spasms that draw me backwards! The muscle relaxer I use dose not help when they are this extreme. I normally take tramadol (sp?) except in these times. These three nights have added more extreme neck pain and stiffness! I am 78 years old and polio hit me when I was 10/11 and at the time they could not diagnose the illness! Thank you for information.

My daughter had shoulder surgery today and is in severe pain! She took one hydrocodone-acetaminophen 7.5-325 @ 1:30 and at 2:00 a Naproxen sodium (otc) and it has not touched the pain! On her next dose at 5:00 would it be okay to give her two of the hydrocodone-acetaminophen?
