Hydrochlorot 25mg Side Effect: Lower Back Pain

can lower back pain also be a side effect? I started taking this pills again and the next day my lower back started to hurt. I didn't put two and two together, but when I took the pill again the following day, I could barely stand. It comes and goes.

Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that is used to reduce the amount of fluid in the body.

And yes, it may cause a backache, especially if it is causing you to become dehydrated. Are you being careful with your fluid intake? Your body does need 64oz of liquid each day, so if you aren't drinking enough and take this, it might be causing the problem.
