Hi I'm Patricia my doctor put me on zolpidem to help me sleep they work great. I went back and she put me on benzonatate for a cough OK my question is I think I'm trying to catch a cold, is it safe to take night time cold and flu med. With the other meds I'm taking?

It depends which medication you want to take, not all of them contain the same ingredients.
For instance, many of them use Diphenhydramine in the night time ones, which could be too sedating if taken with the other medications.
Can you please post back and clarify?
The FDA lists the typical side effects of Zolpidem as possibly including nausea, dizziness, hallucinations, sleep actions and next day hangover-like effects.
Benzonatate may cause side effects, such as constipation, dizziness, headache and nasal congestion.
