How To Lower Suboxone Tolerance, Taking Way Too Much A Day

I am wondering how many days should I stop taking suboxone because I don't have enough to last till my appointment. I want to know if I stop for a few days, will I feel better when I take it? I can take at least 5 suboxone per day and still feel like I need more. I don't know why it is that way. I want to be able to take a lower dose, and I need answers. I need help with how to start taking them right - should I switch to Subutex?

If you are in withdrawals (i.e. Watery eye(s) muscle aches, then later sweating and constant goose bumps till your skin is sore from it, and you can't tell if you're hot or cold because you're sweating and getting goose bumps aka HELL) then any amount of suboxone that stays in your mouth for at least 10 minutes will stop or at least ease your withdrawal symptoms. My NP gave me muscle relaxers which help tremendously with the muscle cramps. Suboxone does not have that immediate effect like almost all other opiates have, so it takes about 10-15 minutes after the 15 minutes of dissolving for it to take effect. I have also found that the less you take the shorter it lasts, but that's if your down to 2-4 mgs, and at higher doses there is a ceiling/limit on how many mgs have the same effect (i.e. 16mgs has the same effectiveness as 32mgs in theory). Or as my doctor put it, "16mgs is like 95% and 24mgs is 97%."
In short, yes it will work better if you wait for withdrawals to start, just don't wait too long if you want to avoid the torture level. I hope you find relief.
