How Quickly Will Amlopidine Work?
UpdatedI've just been prescribed 5 mg Amlopidine daily for high blood pressure. How quickly will it work, as my BP has been averaging 166/118 for several weeks and I'm keen to see it come back to a more reasonable level. My pulse is also fast at 110 bpm.

You should start to see a gradual improvement within a few days of starting it, but it may take 3 to 4 weeks for it reach its full level of efficacy in the body to see how much it will help you.
The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, hypotension, and increased urination.
How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?
