I am 36 weeks pregnant and about a week ago i tested positive for opium when my doctor drug tested me. I took what i thought was a over the counter pain med cuz my back went out but apparently my "friend" had given me a 30 mlg oxy. now child protective services are involved and i was told once my child is born they will test the placenta for drugs and was wondering how long do oxys stay present for that kind of testing? please help i dont want to lose my kids.

hello. i am almost 26 weeks pregnant and have been on percocets throughout my pregnancy and i am scared of losing my child when i have my c-section. how did you appoach your doctor about taking narcotics throughout your pregnancy?? i have tried to wein myself off but its been very hard.

I read your story and its heartfelt. When you put your trust in the LORD you can't go wrong. With GOD you and your baby will be fine. Keep praying and believe that your baby will be covered by GOD no matter what. You'll get clean and your baby will be ok.

I am 38 weeks pregnant. I haven't really used all that much oxycone in the last few weeks. But I took ten mg the day before yesterday and then today I took 7.5 mg. I am worried the baby will withdrawal if she's born on her due date. How long does this drug take to leave the baby while she's still inside me?

Thank you. You just gave me hope for my daughter who is 30 weeks pregnant. She is on subutex also. But still battles the demons. I'm so glad I read your post. :)

I'm twenty five weeks pregnant and have been taking suboxone only a quarter a day that's 2mg I'm scared my baby will test positive. I no longer take suboxone as of today will baby still test positive or do I have enough time left to save my baby from dcs.everyone told me they didn't test for suboxone but today I read that they most certainly do.I'm worried. I love this baby more than anything I don't want anything bad to happen.please help has anyone use then tested negative at birth when stopping at twenty six week pregnant?or is it to late sad and scared.....

I have been addicted to loratabs and norco for 6 months, 60 to 70 mls a day, 4 to 6 pills a day, I am five months pregnant, my MD put me on 3 a day so the baby won't go in withdrawals, if I continue to take 50 or 60 mls a day until I have (yes i take more than im prescribed) the baby, will my baby test positive for opiates when he is born ? DHR is going to test him and I need to know I have was talking that much before I got pregnant and during my whole pregnancy..will my baby test positive..

Yours is the closest i have found like my story. I have sever scoliosis In my lumbar thoracic and cervical region.i have always controlled it w watching my weight and therapy. Im 6-7 weeks i take 2 5mg tab 3-4times it has to be in my system for insurance to cover mri proving i need a spinal instatue that meds and therapy arent stopping progression. Ild rather protect my baby. Can i just stop and re address the issue after the baby. dr told me not to until after mri.midwife says my choice and shell support what i do. Idk what to do.

They always test. Just because they dont tell you doesnt mean they arent doing it. They also test the placenta and can tell how much of what you have done.

I am 13 weeks pregnant and have did morphine maybe 3-4 times ... Maybe one small line each time ... No sweet heart it will not hurt the baby because it's to soon in the pregnancy I stopped at six months cold turkey and by the grace of god the baby is fine

I used to take 30mg of the oxycodone I stopped when i was 24 weeks pregnant i never tested positive i had my daughter on 01/14/2014 and she was clean also me and my baby are home and had no problems

Look i was taking pain meds also and when i told my doctor they referred me to a methadone clinic, it's safe and since i was referred, no one took my son i was steady going all the way through my pregnancy, yes some babies have withdraws but it's safer then slowing down or quitting the other meds. Im still on methadone, but at a much smaller dose then i was. It's something that takes time. So be supportive and there for her, we need that support from our parents or we could relapse...hope i helped a little..good luck!!
