How Long Will My Memory Loss Last For?

I am 17 years and took Dormonoct for 4 months to help me sleep and then stopped. I am experiencing short-term memory loss ever since I've stopped and now I'm worried that I might get Alzheimers disease at my age now...please help me? Will I ever get back to normal?

These medications can cause that in some people, during and after taking them, according to the NIH, along with mood swings and headaches.

How long has it been since you stopped taking it?

Are you on any other medications?

Did you taper off of it, or stop abruptly?

Hello Verwon, thanks for coming back to me...I'm doing a bit better although I still forget a few things.
I've been off them now for nearly 4 months. I tapered off them. When I started taking them, I was taking a quarter for a month or so and then my psychiatrist upped the dose to a half of a 2mg tablet, I took that for 2 months and then went back onto a quarter for a month and then I went off them completely.
I am currently taking 30mg Cymgen for 3 months already to help with my anxiety.
Do you think my memory will eventually get better or would I end up with Alzheimer's?
