I had surgery due to a bad pinched nerve on march of 2013 on lots of strong meds, Ive been on the suboxone for 1 month 4mg under your tougne twice a day weaned myself down to 2mg a day...I feel like I'm getting myself in a worst spot...taking this stuff any longer.I stopped my last one on July 25th @ 7pm ....PLEASE SOME HELP ME I NEED SOME ENCOURAGEMENT

I Am Just Beginning The Suboxone Program After Being On Oxycontin Since The Age Of 16, And Than Being Prescrided To 80mg Oxycontin At 18. I Am Now 27yrs old. So To Be Totally honest With All Of You I Have Been A Hard Core " Pill Head" For 12yrs Now. I Have Hated This So Called Medicine That Is Suppose to Help people for a few yrs now!!It Has Slowly but surely taken total control of my Entire life.. My family and even more myself has watch me gradually go straight down hill, From my looks, my emotions, anger, depression, distancing myself from every family member and ever friend I use to have. I went down to 60mg of oxycontin But it didnt matter i would go through i bottle of #90 60mg oxycontin in maybe 2 weeks Than start on a family memebers 80mg oxycontin..i hated my life more than anyone could ever under stand! I had lost Lia, The always happy, funny, care free lia that i loved! and turned into this person i nor my family didnt even know anymore!! THAN I had what i call my miracle my angel from God my precious son... It took me a little while but for him i would do anything, and i want him to have the mommy he deserves more than anything, IM doing this for us!!! and it has been the hardest thing ive ever had to do.. but im in it to win it!! :) I WILL OVER COME THIS!!! So this is the beginning of my journey!! Im super excited but terrified at the same time!! please to you all keep myself in your prayers that i can be strong enough to make it through this till the end, And keep my baby boy in your prayers also please!! I'm on the same new med zubsolv and feel worse then ever the pharmacy said it's not as strong as subs so that's why my entire body hurts and I feel like I'm going to throw up at anytime. Told me my body had to get used to it. I was on 300 mg oxy a day then dubs now this. How long can I be sick in bed. I relate. I feel you. Good luck.

I truly appreciate your responses. I'm on day 6...and can't say that it's any better yet. The RLS is exhausting, my stomach is always turning and I'm trying to concentrate on my little ones. They help give me hope that it's gonna get better. I have a handful of vicodin 10's...but I refuse to give in and take them, feel better for a day, and then start this fight all over again. I just hope some sort of relief comes soon. I hope you are all hanging in and doing well! Good luck and God Bless!!! If anyone starts feeling any relief, or even if your still feeling horrible, please write something to keep me in the game. I don't want to feel alone in this crazy fight. Thanks.

Good luck. I know it will get better, just take anymore. If your Dr will give you Klonapin or Xanax it can help... it does get better. I promise.

I'm a single mom too and it's hard obviously. I'm on day 14 but did relapse a week ago :( wd's came back with a vengeance! I can't cry, I'm numb and angry. I have fibromyalgia to begin with so wow that's hard. I can say benadryl, clonidine, benzos, Imodium, and nuerontin helps alot. Good luck!

Hi MOMCOLDTURKEY, I'm actually doing horrible. There's something wrong with my kidneys from when they switched my medicine. I went to the doctor and he gave me Aleve and a steroid. I'm in excruciating pain and there is nothing that I can do. I had blood in my urine about a week ago and I thought it was my period but its not. My doctor doesn't even want to listen to me he thinks its muscular pain. It's not. Sorry I can't make you feel any better today because I am in pain and crying. I don't know what to do I think I'm just going to have to go to the hospital. I stopped taking that other medicine too so I'm going through withdrawal. I think it has something to do with it. Other med is like since. I figured if I'm going to go to the hospital and have to get some sort of procedure I might as well not be in pain for the procedure. I am taking my klonapin. It's the only thing holding me down.

Stay strong brother,I been on this crap for 2-3months now,the Dr. Cut my dose and I been one step ahead of him. I'm down to a strip a day. I'm prescribed 1 1/2 ,I haven't had any for 24 hrs now and I feel fine. I'm wondering if it's going to hit me too. I've just been pray'n that I want to be clean from all this stuff. With perseverance and a little help from the Lord I think will be fine you just have to have the desire to be free from all of it and the rest of it will come to pass.

LostAndLooking68, I'm soo sorry that I wasn't able to get back to you sooner!! I feel so bad I wish there was Something I could do to help u feel better!! But I've been doing horrible too!! And it's definitely from stopping the meds!! It can't be a coincidence that I have blood in my urine too...and they can't give me 1 reason as to why I'm in such pain and y my organs aren't functioning properly. I swear, as soon as they know u once were an "addict" or know about Suboxone, they treat u completely different!! I have to go back bc my body has filled up with 40lbs of water weight...they said Edema +4...I woke up looking like a blimp and it hurts soo bad to move. But they said if Lasix won't get the water out I could seizure. I feel ure pain soo much!!! I wish u had my cell number, so u could text me whenever, & I wouldn't miss a message...like I did this week!! Gotta figure out a way! We're too much in the same boat&going through the exact same thing. I cant believe I've been going through it cold turkey for weeks now and still feel horrible!! It's a nightmare! &Brian I hate to burst your bubble...but the 1st couple of days, u feel not that bad at all...once I hit day 5, that's when I was ready to have someone hit me over the head to get rid of the extreme sickness. You can take clonidine and gabapentin.... Those 2 things help tremendously! Clonidine lowers your blood pressure so u gotta make sure ur BP is low b4 u take it again...n stay home if u take it:-P

Thank You Savannah, I am going through something similar, I was in a bad accident the Dr put me on roxicodone for 2 years, I wanted to get off of that so he put me on methadone, I found it very difficult taking methadone I went to another doctor, put me on suboxone 2 years ago. I tried talking to my doctor months ago on how to get off the 8 milligram strips ofsuboxin they told me to take it for a week then don't take it for 2 days take it for a week don't take it for 2 days lower the dose it didn't work for me. I finally wean myself down to less than 2 milligrams twice a day 4 days ago I started cold turkey and I'm having a little bit of a hard time I have epilepsy and I do have dilantin which helps me with the notion of having a seizure, but I hope in 14 days everything settles down and I can become a normal person again. Your article made the most sense I do recommend to anybody who's trying to get off of Suboxone please do it through a doctor god bless all of you and please pray for me

I'm sorry but that is just replacing one drug for three others. Xaxax is hell coming off of, also. But so is buprenorphine. In my experience, you must ween off of bupe. You should be taking pieces you never would have picked up off the floor before. Miniscule amounts. I swear it helps. You get a real grasp of how potent this junk is when you taper to the extreme. And even then, you don't start getting better until you completely quit taking it. My experience and I've been through it a few times. It's a terrible drug. The worst in my opinion.

I believe that the worst experience of withdrawal was subs..I would go thru the dope sickness 100 times before experiencing that again..I am here for you..if you need anything.. {edited for privacy}. But sadly..it has been since last July..and it seems I have been having an unquenchable craving for it lately..ugh!! I had to move states away to escape it..and now cold turkey from everything and it keeps calling my name! ;[
