I've taken maybe five or six Valium in the past two weeks. The last one about two days ago. Other than that I have not taken anything besides Suboxene. Does anyone know how long it takes to get out of your system?

Valium/Diazepam is a benzodiazepine & 1 of its metabolites Is N-desmethyldiazepam, which is what they can test for In urine to see if you've been using it & how much you've used.

N-desmethyldiazepam has a half-life of 100 hours, meaning that half of the dose of Valium you took remains in your body 100 hours after you took it-even if you can't feel its effects or don't think it's still working, it is. Then 50hrs later, you're down another half-life, and so on. Unfortunately, a lot of things come into play, especially how long you've been taking it and how much & how often, so there is no one specific answer for when Valium will completely be out of your system. The answer should be after all the half-lives are gotten through but benzodiazepines seem to do their own thing & every person is different.

If someone tells you it'll be out of your system in __ amount of time, I wouldn't believe them!

It all depends on how long, how much, and what benzos you take. For a user that takes benzos often will test dirty far longer than someone who takes one or two every two weeks. For example I have always had trouble sleeping and have had several panic attacks but i never saw it necessary to go to a shrink and get meds that i didn't need everyday.If it gets bad enough i will take benzos to calm me down. I took several xanax for the weekend and was able to pass the coming Friday. My friend however took several Valium and failed. I also passed on Klonopin also. But i never took Valium after that. It also depends on eating habits as well as water intake and exercise(sweating). I find that Powerade is the best. Way better than water especially if its tap. If you choose to risk it make sure that you allow the powerade to become lukewarm so you will urinate often....

NO. All it took was me taking 2 10 mg valium and 28 days later i pissed dirty for benzos

I was admitted in the Hospital on 4/28 for surgery and released on 5/2 and was givin valiums 5mg every 6 hr, now I went to the pain management doctor on 5/23 and was givin a drug screen and I failed the test because there was still valium in my system :( I have gone so far as to have my medical records pulled to show proof the this drug was giving to my while admitted in the hospital. So my question is how long can valium giving to me in the hospital stay in my system an im not a valium taker and this was the first time in my life I have been givin it..

Ive been taking valium for about three years 40 mg a day..I got on the suboxone program n this is my second urine test in about 8 weeks and the valium still showed im a big person also so im hoping next month im free n clear

Really? There are a lot of people that use drugs recreationally in the comfort of their homes. The kids eating 40 and 80 need to get some help. I condemn people that abuse drugs. I also have no problem if someone has no insurence and needs valum or pain meds if they use them to help with anxiety or pain. No it's not legal. But there are several things wrong with our legal system. If no one was a dumbass 90%of the laws we have woul not exist. For example no one that takes 1 valum a day is putting them selves or anyone else in any danger if they are responsible. U get a kid who eats a fist full and kills several people in a traffic accident for not partaking in moderation. By this, a law deems "all" meds un prescribed to you illegal.
I do not have insurence from my job, the Native American hospital I see offers no painanagement. I had a 6' monster of a gun cabinet at lowes fall over on me. Messed up some discs in my back and I now live with it. The company didn't offer to do anything other than put me on light duity after I spent a few days in bed. Boss even brought me over some tabs and valum because I had nothing. I pain meds on occasion when I have brake through pain. I know it's not legally right but when I am unable to get insurence for dr visits and prescriptions. Or pay it all out of pocket I believe people should be able to help them selves by acquiring them illegitimately. Laws or not. He'll if the crack heads could lobby like the pharm companies there would be lo laws against it.(steps off soap box). ;-)

Valium has a long half life, meaning it will stay in your system a long time. On the short end, 14-21 days and up to 6 weeks. You took A LOT. I would say it will be at least 4 weeks!
