Would you tell me how long it takes 30 mg of morphine to leave your blood and urine please?

Approximately 5 days for a standard urine test, usually a longer period of time to be able to detect it in your blood.

If you have a prescription, then you are allowed to use it, you just have to inform them of this,when you go in to have the testing done.

Opiates will not be shown in a urine test usually after 2-3 days after taking them if taken occassionally, but would give yourself at least a 4 day window if possible just to make sure.

I am 50 years old, was in the military, have atritis,have had a total knee replacement in 2003. I had an elbow replacement, the first one in 2006. It went south. Since I've had 12 surgeries,three total replacements, contracted staff infection and almost lost my arm. I have chronic pain. The Doctors only will prescribe me minium pain meds. Morphine sulphate 30mg ER twice a day, one every 12 hours and oxycodone 30mg IR three times a day for break through pain but it's not working. I've lost the use of my right arm and have a radial palsy and musle atrophy. My shoulder hurts and my left arm, hand and shoulder really hurt from over use. I've been on pain meds for quiet a few years and have a high tollerence. How do I convince the Doctors that what they are prescribing me is not working. i don't take this stuff for kicks, I hurt! What suggestions does anyone have. I have been determined disabled by SS and can't work any more. What the hell can I do and how do I convence these doctors the pain is chronic, moderate to severe and I just want some releaf and some quality of life again. Twelve surgeries since 2006, back in Dec. & Jan. I spent nearly 40 days in the hospital. Missed Christmas and New Years...what a drag! What can I do? Hurting and need some answers. Talk with md about dilaudid. It is 10X stronger than morphine. Some people build up a quick tolerates to morphine. Tried describing pain to help doctor determine type of pain. Probably would nor hurt to take some type of med for nerve pain. For example: neurontin. Good luck! It is a shame that people with REAL pain are not believed because of drug abusers!!!

I would suggest going to a pain management clinic, where they are use to just prescribing opiates mainly. Also, morphine is not the drug of choice when taken orally. I would suggest hydromorphone 8 mg(Diluadid) or oxycodone, or oxymorphone (Opana) try fentanyl too.

i feel very bad for you sir. i am only 26 but lived my life from an early age racing motocross and have had multiple broken bones, and when i mean alot i mean alot, broken ribs to broken vertibres. the probelem your going to have is that what your on is actually a very high dose of pain meds. ive been through these problems all my life and it comes down to who your doctor is. its good that you have the oxycodone 30 instant because those are one of the best things you can get man, i only get the 15s for three times a day and thats it besides soma wich ive just been cut off it because i lost my long time doctor cause he was sick of his boss.. your best bet my man is to go find some pain managment doctors or pain pill specialist doctors wich are willing to try out new and stronger things until you are in a good spot without pain. trust me its a pain in the ass, process of elemination.. i wish you luch ,and like i said just search and find the rite doctor thatll actually be willing to sit down with you and give you more attention and care about your pain,, good luck

I took three, morphine sulfate pills 36 hours ago and each pill was 15mg each. 45mg total. How long will they remain in my system? I weigh 190 lbs, 6ft and do 250 pushup every morning. This is the only time I have ever taken them in my life.

I know your aggravation with it all as I have had 2 neck surgeries and 1 lower back surgery. I have been told by my surgeon that when it comes to pain management that they all have their bag of tricks and if you fit into what they have then great but if you don't it is too bad. I have been extremely frustrated with dealing with this for over 10 years. The best is to try to make a consultation appointment with a pain management doctor but keep yours until you feel you have found someone willing to listen and work with you. Just do not get prescriptions from two at the same time, trouble! It takes a while to get into a quality physicality so that is why I would not leave me doctor until you have a new doctor. It will be a hassle each month getting scripts, then making sure the pharmacy has it in stock, the hoops you have to go through when you are the law abiding citizen and need this to be able to get through the day. I am in Florida and they have decided to make us the poster child for cleaning up the war on drugs, but so far the ones suffering are the ones doing it the right way. I wish you the best and there are better drug combinations for you so like the others I encourage you to move on to a new doctor. Also make sure you are seeing someone such as a psychiatrist or counselor for the depression that goes along with it all!

Have you asked about deep brain stimulation? I looked it up and it can be used for pain.

Talk.to your doctor about a internal pain pump. I have had 28 surgeries and it has helped me alot.

I'm on the same meds and dosage as you and I go to a pain clinic, actually where you live in Knoxville, your probably not gonna get any other meds because of law enforcement! They've been trying to practice medicine for a while now and bully doctors and pharmacies. IT'S RIDICULOUS what you have to go through just to get them filled sometimes.You may have luck with opana but when I had the opportunity to change from morphine to it I was told that it's the most abused pain medicine out their right now and that I'd be flagged constantly and have a monthly count if I were to switch. Well that's no problem with me but when I found out how much they cost I said screw that! So be prepared for the scrutiny that comes with it. I'm so damn sick if how I've been treated because of the meds I take, even pharmacists discriminate you when you hand them your prescription especially Wallgreens, F*** them. I've had chronic pain for over 15 yrs now and been a patient for it that long and sometimes it hurts so bad I just want to eat a bullet. My meds have been cut in half over the past yr when if anything they should have prescribed more because of tolerance issues but all you can do is take it one day at a time. I love my doctor and I know the only reason people have been cut back and changed around and even denied help is because of stupid laws because some movie star or musician died from an overdose and dumba** needle junkies.. Oh and I just lost a best friend two days ago so I don't wanna hear how I don't understand and am being mean. I know all about it and all junkies do is cause problems for people like us who really need our meds. Sorry to ramble people I just needed to get that out. I totally know where you are coming from! I have had 4 back surgeries, still have chronic pain. I am suppose to take the morphine prescribed to me 2x per day a total of 30 mg, and a muscle relaxer. Being in so much pain, Pain that is unbearable, I took an extra one on like 2 or 3 occasions, mind you I was taking 4 at 60 mg per day, I went in to my pain specialist and I felt good then, so she started to take me off of 4. It wasn't cutting it. To this day, I am only on 2 per day at 30mg, and I must admit I have taken extra for like 3 days. Well, they needed me to take a lithium blood work, and being that I was out of my Morphine, after and went and got it, boy did I need it, not that I wanted it. The took a blood test for the pain management and I was surprised that the gal said there was no Morphine in my system, well I had run out! It's not that I am a bad person I was like 3 days short. I should of kept taking as usual, now I have no idea what is to become of this??.. I have other health issues going on, possibly another surgery to take out stimulator, and get an MRI done, I have a lesion on right thigh, and they think maybe either on my cord, or on my brain. So yeah.. I have no clue with my dr, I do know this I am in chronic pain and will last and I am not making up the pain! It was fine when I was taking 4 a day of the Morphine, but now that's gone and because I was in charge of my meds and knew I'd be short, at that time I needed to take them, still need 4x day! It's not like I want them, I do not, I have been on mess since 2009... I just hope I don't lose my dr. I do understand what you are going thru, and I feel for you!

I will have a swap test for my 30mg morphine sulfate, along w my other prescriptions, on this wed. My question is, I only have one left, how far away from this wed can I take that last tablet and still have it show up in my mouth swap?? I appreciate any help would this. The swap test is from a normal pain clinic, if that helps.

I'm almost in the same situation. My spine is dying off and I'm in so much pain. These drug seekers and abusers are ruining it for us that really need the medication. We need it to just function half way. They use to feel high and it makes me sick. Junkies, keep away from our medicine you losers. I feel for your pain.

My husband was put on a newer medication called Nucynta. It helps prolong the effects of your prescription pain meds when taken twice a day. So far it has helped him compared to before. You might check into it.

Hi I understand alit awint get into ittbout pain IAM at the pain clinic now been long long road if different med sick talking bout it I'm on ten miles ixycottin time release and oerc tens in between pain I've been fighting ssd for seven yeears and my third lawyer PL wish me luck just cause u don't look disabled doesn't mean your not I've had fibro for twenty yrs it sucked with severe bad back and severe neck injury in top this it's been a long painful Rd waiting to talk to back surgent if I can get less pain there I'll take it I feel all your pain peaple good luck I welcome your prayers as I say for u all hang in the I'll do the same had to vent ty
