How Long Do I Have To Wait To Take Suboxone After Taking Methadone For Two Days? (Page 2)

I have been on morphine for about 7 weeks. I take about 100 to 200mg a day. I am about to switch to methadone in the morning. I am going to take 30mg tomorrow morning and 20mg the next morning. Then on the third day I plan on switching to suboxone. I only have 6mg of suboxone to take on the third day. But my question is, Is it safe to take the 6mg of suboxone 24 hrs after taking the methadone for two days,(30mg the first day and 20mg the second day)?? I'm scared to death of going into precipitated withdrawal when I switch to the suboxone, but I can't get any more methadone and all I have is the 6mg of suboxone. I'm ready to stop the morphine for a while. Rehab is not an option and neither is more morphine, I'm broke.

Hi I was, in sub for 3 yrs, ran out of it and have took methadone for 3 days no higher than 20 mg I am needing to go back to my sub how long do I gotta, wait?

You mix all that and it's suicide! Someone needs to take all of it away and give it to you right. Morphine, Methadone, Suboxone all within a week. Uncertain death. May god protect you and keep you!

I'd wait longer! Ur body will tell u, wait til ur n full blown methadone WD before u start the Suboxone. Trust me, I only waited til I was a little uncomfortable & it was pure hell! I'd been through WD before but this was 10X worse!

I know this is old but is subs or Methadone have such a long half life, why do I feel like death after 15 hours after my last dose of either but usually subutex?! Am I the only person on earth that metabolizes these like it’s nothing? It’s very frustrating. Btw I’ve never done H. Only a fairly crazy norco/Xanax habit in the past. If I would have known then what I know now, I would have sucked it up because kicking norcos isn’t fun but way worse than the helllll I’ve been through the past however many years (like 3 times as long as my doc Joy ride) on Methadone and subutex. Both great for treating serious addition problems but I was young and dumb and thought I couldn’t do it on my own. Which I know now I totally could have and I’d be a happy ish, healthy young lady today. This too shall pass, right?!

The suboxone will likely send you into major withdrawal! I would wait a couple days.

hi im jeff and i been on subs for a while and was in a horrible coma all that good stuff for a week amd took a 10 10mg done for pain I think it b ok to go back to subs the nest day

I took one fourth of a methadone 40 waffle yesterday I'm suppose to start on 8 mg of Suboxone tomorrow. Will it be safe?

Omg I would definitely not take suboxone with a fentanyl patch on!! I would not take suboxone for at least 48hrs after removing the fentanyl patch either! But if you are going to go to a suboxone doctor or clinic then you should just be getting an appointment and asking them these questions and doing what they say ! If you are like me and getting your suboxone off the streets because you have tried for years to get prescribed suboxone but live in rural area and no access to clinics so it's up to your own discretion to decide then I would wait you are going to feel withdrawal alittle when switching from oxy to fentanyl after being on it for so long your body is used to the oxy and oxy withdrawal is one of the worst personally but you cant be in that bad of shape I imagine not enough to risk going being thrown into precipitated withdrawal that taking suboxone to soon will do to you.

I’m not a doctor but I have come off pain pills after taking them for YEARS and you may be causing yourself bigger problems if you’re trying yo just come off opiates.
If you’re switching for pain disregard my comment, but if you’re taking suboxone to come off 7 weeks of morphine it’s not worth it.

The amount of days in between dosent matter it should go by withdrawal symptoms ive had precipitated withdrawl at least 4 times wait aslong as possible until your really sick take 2mg and if you dont feel better wait longer and try
