How Long Before Lyrica Starts To Work

I have fibro, connective tissue disease and RA I was put on lyrica 75 mg and I wanted to know how long before I can see relief from it?

It will take about 4 to 6 weeks, before it reaches its full level of efficacy in your body and you know whether or not it is working for you. Side effects to it may include nausea, dizziness, weight changes and mood swings.

I was diagnosed with Fibro about a year ago. RA said that I had the worse case in the bottom portion of Florida. I was put on Lyrica 200 mg 3 times a day with being told that I will be uppered in the dose. I had so many side effects from problems thinking, speaking, seeing, hearing, and many others. I stopped it abruptly and experienced horrible illness of cold sweats, vomit, fever, etc. It was dangerous and stupid how I did it, but I can say that I am 85 percent better without it. I can think some what now.

I suffer from diabetic nerve pair in my feet. It's a condition that was controlled with Gabipentin and Cymbalta. Unfortunately, After several years of living a somewhat of a manageable life, these medications are no longer effective. I am in so much pain!!!! I can'tell even function, especially in the afternoon and more so in the evening. My Dr. started me on Lyrica two weeks ago. A few days ago I experienced a half way decent, pain reduced day. Maybe because I stayed home all day with my feet up on the recliner. The very next day my pain was back, in full force. I can't take this any more. The cost of this medicine is outrageous in the states. I'm on Medicare and I'm surely going to hit my doughnut hole soon. This drug manufacturer won't even give me a discount card because I'm on Medicare. I'm fed up, depressed and have run out of options.
