How Long After Taking A Suboxone Can You Take An Opiate? (Page 8)

I have been on 8 mg/2mg Suboxone strips for 1 year. I am having a tooth (back molar) extraction in the morning. I used my Suboxone strip this morning & the tooth extraction is at 9:30 am tomorrow. If I don't use another Suboxone strip before the extraction, would I be able to take Hydrocodone after my surgery? I don't want to get sick, but I am terrified of going through this surgery with no pain meds. Please help.
I am used stolam plus & Beta cap TR-40 & Cyclophasmade Injection's & IVIG. Please explain.
I agree!! They're totally wrong.
Not true I feel it after a day so you are wrong about a year. That's crazy
I agree everyone is different. I take 8/2mg once a day. I developed kidney stones and I went to ER. They gave me Dilaudid in IV, and I felt it. It has only been 32 hours since the Suboxone. The only thing is, it doesn't last long at all, and they sent me home with Norco. I had to take a lot of Norco to feel anything, and even then it was just a little.
I did so much research on this and almost all of it I found to be sort of incorrect. Here's my story on your question: I took about 500mg of oxycodone a day for 6yrs, doc tried me on suboxone then switched back to oxycodone, i took 3 x 8mg strips per day for 8 days on 9th day i only took 1and a half 8mg strips so 12mg last dose at 4am and at 6pm the same night I started feeling sneezy and yukky, asked doc if i was ok to take my oxy he said im good to go so only 14hrs after my last suboxone I took only half a 30mg tablet and 1hr later took the other half and 30 minutes later felt an awesome high i have not felt for 9 days that it used to take 4 x 30mg tablets to give me so everything I read did not seem to apply to me so my advice would be to wait at least 12 hrs, start slow and low, you'll feel it, it won't be wasted trust me, and just for information I'm male 46yrs old 129 lbs, very high metabolism. Anyone who says wait 3 to 5 days is someone that according to my 100% honest true experience put themselves through a long painful wait for nothing. Just start slow and low. The only reason I would advise someone to wait longer than 12 hrs is if they were on subs for an extended period then maybe 24 hrs. Hope this helps someone. I know it would have helped me when I was researching this subject for myself all worried and scared. I wish the best of luck to you suffering souls looking for a bit of relief, comfort and advice. God bless.
U only need to wait 12 to 24 hours and the sub will wear off. I'm speaking from experience
Idk know what your asking, can you take Dr0s on methadone or can you take methadone on Suboxone? If your asking can you takes Dr0s on methadone yeah you can for sure, I used to take 0C 80s all the time on methadone. it didn't do anything for me. It was just a waste of money. same thing would go for Suboxone or tex, your not going to feel the Dr0s, only time sub or methadone is gonna make you sick when you take ops is for example, if you were a really heavy user and took opiates and you ere on cloud 9 and you took some sub it's gonna throw that off your dopamine receptors and throw you into withdraws, but methadone, idk if it would be as bad as sub, because I used to take 80s all weekend and start the methadone clinic on a Monday morning. I did that on and off for years, but the other way around, if you were to take anything on Suboxone or methadone it's not going to do anything but waste your money. Mixing methadone and Suboxone is uncharted territory for me but that's the only thing I would throw caution to, just because how they're both synthetic make ups and idk that's the only one i would say for sure wait a few days on, idk I could be wrong. Consult a doc on methadone and Suboxone together.
Inn on subs 4 to8Mg...I taken hydrocodone. After a 24 or less of a suboxone...no withdrawals.but the hydros. I needed like 60 mg to get a relief..now if I take methadone 10mg..Will I get any pain relief...or bad withdrawals...??do I wait
Michelle 31 what is that hotline number really need it I'm in a lot of pain right now
this is false information. It will be 48-72 hours as long as you are taking the strips correctly.
Yeah you can for sure take Ops I took 30 Dr0 10s all in one day didn't do a thing for my pain right after I got my wisdom teeth cut out, I had been on Suboxone & subutex for at least 3 years when I had that done and took them, I knew I would be screwed because I don't care how long your off ops if you had a super high tolerance like me then your tolerance never goes back down after being on Buprenorphine or methadone and clean for years well in my case (Guess I don't have any dopamine left) sure I don't because it was always pedal to the metal with everything (Took E every day two years straight drink 24 pack a day for over ten years did at least a G a day of white usually more for a few years & same thing with c-rank, and a regular day 15 Xanax bars 5 O-C 80s at minimum, after I went hard on everything jumping from one to another and while going one to another I would keep the other ones in the mix just not as my main thing as the drug I was super on at the time well alcohol with all of them, just a back story I know peeps Prob don't believe that but yea I went holder then juicy j and the whole game put together and not proud of it, just 29 with the health of a 90 year old, so any younger folks YOLO ain't the way to live because you will live a lot longer then you think, I know peeps don't say YOLO anymore LMAO. Anyways you can take ops with Buprenorphine, suboxone or subutex. it don't matter and it's not the Naloxone that throws you into withdraws its the main ingredient in the drug Buprenorphine and yes Naloxone does get in your body thru subular, and stops the Buprenorphine from helping you with pain for peeps that can't get subutex in TN anymore that has chronic pain and is an addict, so it's so stupid how they think naloxone is what's stopping addicts from taking both. Only way your going to go into withdraws if you like using a lot of opiates and try and take Buprenorphine when your hi, because the bupurphine is gonna knock the opiates off your dopamine receptors and make you sick. This last time I'm every Gonna take time to speak on bupurphine because it's so misunderstood by peeps it just gets so freaking old even the docs that give it to you don't know how it works, anyways that's my last two cents.
I'm sorry but this does not make any sense.... three years ago I weaned myself off of suboxone.... I was on it for 8 years...it only took almost three months to stop taking it I was at two 8 mg strips a day at the end before I started weaning and I did not have any problems with it like I said I was at 2 8mg a day first week I dropped it to half so one 8 mg strip a day for a week then cut that in half did that for two weeks then cut in half again.... did the same thing till I was at none when I had stopped taking it I didn't have any withdrawal symptoms at all and I was clean from them for almost a year... then got into another car accident and broke my neck so I am on hydromorphone & contin now but you saying that the suboxone is a life long sentence is bulls***, it sounds like you are just making excuses to stay on it or not work....
I took an 8mg sub yesterday around noon. I want to do perc 30s now. Will I feel the percs yet?
I read the messages throughout this blog and have to shake my head because of the misinformation and the lack of understanding of SUBOXONE and the misery people are going to experience when they plan to try and get off of it. First of all I have never taken a narcotic that has not been prescribed for me. I was on 120 mg of OC for five years and 8 mg of SUBOXONE for an additional five years. Both of these were poor choices pushed by pain management Doctors. SUBOXONE is 99.9% pure synthetic opiates with 2 mg of naloxone to keep your from overdosing and dying. Subs cause temporary as well as permanent brain damage. I started weaning in Oct 2014 and jumped at Henry Ford Hospital April 14, 2015. Today I'd December 29, 2015 and I am still in acute withdrawal unable to work or attend any family functions. The list of withdrawal symptoms are endless and he long term affect are horrifying. Subs are the strongest and most physically dependent opiate made today. The only benefit is you do not feel high. They are impossible to get off of and are known as "the life sentence". You will lose your memory and ability to cognitively think and reason. Never start this drug and if any Doctor prescribes it, run from his office without the script. It is a life sentence of poison without escape. I have written the FDA several times and they are afraid to address the issue. Any neophyte Doctor can prescribe catapress to get the opiate off the receptors but they can do nothing for the endless withdrawals and repairing the brain damage. Anyone thinking they are clean because they are on Subs has been badly informed. Now in my tenth month of withdrawals which are worse than methadone with no end in sight. I have been tolld this may last the rest of my life. The manufacturer refuses to respond to my questions. Their drug insert is full of falsehoods and double talk. This is a windfall for unscrupulous Doctors who prescribe it. Listen to YouTube and read other blogs about the misery this drug has created. If you stay on it you will eventually be fired from your job as your brain stops certain required functions needed to perform work. If you try to stop plan on not working for two or more years. The withdrawal symptoms are horrific and endless. Do not expect help from the FDA, the manufacturer or your prescriber. I am seeing a Board Certified Toxicologist, a Psychiatrist, and the Neurology Dept at the University of Michigan. WE are about to to start brain imagery and scans to determine the amount of brain damage it has caused. Best advise is to never start using SUBOXONE or any of it's other generic names. Eventually I will have to litigate with the manufacturer to receive the information I have requested about the trials, research and other victims like us. When I wrote the FDA and Rickett Banister I was close to suicide as a result of the endless painful withdrawals, they ignored my letter. Not including methadone, you can be clear of withdrawals from most opiates in days. Why take SUBOXONE and be stuck for life with a deteriorating brain and no way off? If any medical professional or SUBOXONE salesman tells you anything different, ask them if they have been on the drug. This little windfall for the Doctors and manufacturer is ruining millions of people's lives. The people who swear by it are not knowledgeable about the whole sequence. DO NOT START ON SUBOXONE.
I took an 8 mg sub strip at 10 pm last night first one in 5 days I want to have a shot of H. Can I or will I be wasting my $ ?? Pls help. Confused I have been using abit lately !
Sorry to say, you will suffer. I had shoulder surgery last August and was instructed to take Sub day before surgery! while in the waiting room a anesthesiologist looked at my chart and replied you should have been put on percocets 2 weeks prior to surgery. She was so right, the percs they gave me for surgery did nothing for the pain. I suffered for 2 weeks after the shoulder surgery.....Good Luck!
It's true . I bounce back between perks and sub everyday . Sub in morning perks after lunch at work.. the blocker is not strong enough with a half of 8MG strip . Only when the sub is injected is when u get full power and blockage . . I take perks and sub for the high to speed at work but everyone's different u know . I hope this helps people who
Thanks for the freakin novel you wrote. You must be high to think that was appropriate to answer one question.
I've been on 120 milligrams of oxycodone for almost a year now I've been taking opiates since 2006 almost 10 years now. I really want to stop taking opiates because they don't do anything and I know it will just get worse. I tried taking Suboxone for the last 3 days and I barely got by. I took 1 8 milligram strip the first day on the second day and a half a strip at 5 a.m. the third day. I tried it just to see if I could do it because I'm tired of taking opiates my body is exhausted and I feel run down all the time. Plus the opiates aren't doing too much for my pain. I don't know what to do should I take an opiate 13 hours after taking a 4 milligram suboxone. I see my pain management doctor in 5 days. I will probably just get kicked off my pain management anyway because I'm sure the suboxone won't be out of my body by then. Thank you in advance
