How Can I Get Subutex Not Suboxone? (Page 3) (Top voted first)
UpdatedI don't know how to go about this as I am shaking and can barely focus, I need help! Please. I fear that my life is going to end from my abuse of opiates. I am currently taking 250 mgs of oxycontin per day. I have a loving fiance and a stepdaughter that I want to be here for. I sit here with cold sweats, and fear going out just because I may make the fearful turn to the meds. Any and all info on how to obtain Subutex would be much appreciated. This wasn't what I wanted my life to be, and I can not let it end this way..Please help me. I am not a religious man but I pray for help as I am at my wits end with this drug.
Subutex will let you keep using opiates, Suboxone will not. Why exactly are you asking for Subutex specificially?? THese days, not many doctors will prescribe Subutex for that very reason, it allows people to keep using opiates as it does not contain naloxone. Are you being really honest with yourself about WHY you are wanting this??
750mg of methadone??? I think it's safe to say that that much would most likely kill you and there's not a doctor on this planet that would or is even allowed, to prescribe a person that amount. If you are truly taking that much off the street, I really pray your not, but damn you're lucky to wake up each day! I will pay that you quickly get the help you are seeking from a doctor who will give you suboxone.
Dani you are so right a few bad apples give us all (those of us serious patients) it angers me to no end the craziness I see and hear obout those of us who take suboxone or subtext ..or any other maintanence drug .some of us just can't do it with out this crutch each of us are different what works for one might not work for all what really gets me is those who seek ways around this system to keep this safety net to keep from being dope sick between fixes or calming they are prescribed both subs and opiates get real people if your serious drop the opiates or steel drugs and work on sobriety or get out of the way for those who are dying to get better it hurts to sit in my waiting room at my Dr and hear the others discuss ways to slip throught when n it took me months to get there because other abuse their spot when they aren't ready god bless guys and good luck
DANI926, That's really Pathetic!!!! Why don't you grow a set of whatever and fight FOR YOUR RIGHTS, ITS YOUR LIFE. If you don't care enough about your recovery (some TOOTHLESS WIG WEARING PIG OF A STAFF MEMBER as you openly describe her SURE WILL NOT!!!!). No one on this planet is more important then YOU!!!! PLEASE HELP YOURSELF AND YOUR LOVED ONES BY FIGHTING. WE ALL DESERVE THE RIGHT TO LIVE A SOBER AND DRUG FREE LIFE. God speed.....
BOBBY: If you are talking about the "highs" from Suboxone/Subutex...I hear ya. Any legit opioid addict with an ACTUAL habit won't feel high from Subutex. And all these people trying to figure out how to keep using their drug of choice while on Subutex/Suboxone....why are you even ON this stuff? Do it right or don't waste my time.
Where are you located? Might be able to help you find a place. I go to a pretty good doctor. He's a nice guy and isn't completely over stocked with patients like most doctors
Bro don't be scared. I was taking 40 5mg percocet everyday. Stacking it with 40 t1s a day. I was in the same situation. 2 years everyday. Never and I mean never did I miss a day. I was so scared of withdrawing. I went thru it before cold turkey. The worst thing in my life. I had to quit my job. You need to ask yourself do u want to die?? Or be on dialysis for the rest of your life. You seem to be ready to quit cuz u want to. So go on suboxone. I swear it was the easiest thing to do. I have 2 friends that got off with it. They told me how easy it was. I didn't believe them for a year. Then finally I knew I had to get off the percs or die. So I stopped all the percs for 20 hours and took my first dose of subs and I was born again. Very little withdrawal for 1-2 days. My dosage was upped everyday until I reached 14 mg. Now it's not good getting hooked to subs but bro it's life and death now. No choice. The money you will save. The time with your family. The not having to worrying about scoring. I tell you you're a new person. Then once your on subs your mind will clear then you can start thinking normal and taking your life back. Then gradually you will taper the subs. Don't wait bro. U will be kicking yourself after wondering why did it take me so long to go on the subs. Please go.
Thank You Corey. I am going to call them tommorrow. I just have been snorting percocet 30mg and they are 30 dollars a piece, and it is ruining my life. I am spending way too much money on them and it is making me struggle with my bills and as an addict to opiates I never have any energy to do anything. I want to get my life back. I have never injected thank god...but all the people I know have started to and They are not the same people anymore. They have ruined their lives. But I am going to try your doctor tomm....they are open. I have the medical card will it cover my medicine?
Im taking 750mg of methadone, no rehab or detox facility will help me, i heard subutex works, PLEASE HELP.
I'm replying to the post about getting Subutex more specifically Buphernorine (my insurance-Humana will only cover the generic/non formulary), I'm in SD now & very worried because my family is moving to Winter Park, FL in a few months so the hubby can go to the film school there. Are the Dr.s in FL really that strict on prescribing it even if I bring my medical records & forms from my ins company stating the won't cover the Subutex or Suboxone? This is one of my biggest fears of moving to FL. Any help is greatly appreciated :-)
You can go to a doctor who carries the suboxone lincense.I went thru what you are dealing with for I had a bunch of surgeries all in all 7 of them and I hated my self and my life.So I went surfing and dived into the net I could not take it anymore it saved my life I found a doctor who came from France and she was a pioneer to this drug I was the first to receive this drug when most everyone wanted it and nobody could find it but now you are very lucky for they are everywhere and they understand your reason to want to change and now insurances may cover it so go for it it will change your life no looking back on it anymore.God bless and pls take care.
Hi there I kno exactly what u r going thru.. I was a heroin addict for six years so wen I decided to get clean I found a psychiatrist that specialized in addiction..he was also licensed to write Rx for subutex and suboxone ; I don't know where u r from but u can easily get a list of doctors in ur area who can help u get subutex..I really hope this helped. I wish u the best of luck getting sober
Hi my name is amy too and i am the same age. I was also told i would never have a child and i still havent. but i am an addict also. Ive been clean for 6 years. I go to a methadone clinic. It saved my life. So please get help somehow cuz i know what it feels like to not be able to have a child and as u said it is a miracle that u are pregnant. Please dont hurt your unborn child. U dont know how lucky you are. So please please get help for you and your child. U have plenty of options out there.
My brother died in his sleep from an opiate overdose. He was so addicted and his withdrawals so bad, that I could literally look at him and see how badly he was suffering. An addict does not go into recovery knowing how to cope with the withdrawal symptoms, and in the first stage is when the symptoms are hardest to bear. It makes me very angry to hear people telling a person who is suffering like this that subutex or suboxone is not the way to go. Personally, I hate suboxone, but it would have saved my brother's life if either of us had known about it at that time!!! I would do anything to have him back, and I know he was suffering bad enough he would have tried it. It would have given him the hope he needed that his life could be very different, the one he really wanted to have anyway. My brother was such a good-hearted person, but he did not have good coping skills. He thought he had to be the hero for everyone, and he sucked up any difficulties he had, never admitting to them, and not talking to anyone about them.
It's not necessarily the same for everybody. Some people may be able to tolerate their withdrawals better than others. Or another's may be more traumatic. I've had both very tolerable, no intervention-type withdrawals, and I've had the second kind, where I used suboxone to help, because I could not endure them. I've also suffered the withdrawals from suboxone, and I know it's nothing to play with. I literally thought I was dying, and it was like it was pay-back time, and there was no way around it, it was going to happen whether it happens initially, or after the suboxone, but doctors are keeping a lot of patients on it for way too long, and way too high a dose. Thank God I no longer take any of it. It was like demons were moving around my room at night. My throat closed up and I could barely talk, and I was dying of thirst. My blood pressure shot up - and I had never experienced that before. I had no idea what was happening to me. I didn't sleep for FOUR days. It was one of the most nightmarish experiences I've ever had. I even prayed, asking God if I was going to die. I truly felt like I was. From what I understand, I was lucky my experience didn't last longer. It lasted about 3 weeks, while others say theirs lasted MONTHS, and even a YEAR later, they were still experiencing episodes of withdrawal. I totally believe it, knowing personally what opiates do to your brain and body. But, in the crisis stage, I think suboxone can be a life-saver under supervised circumstances, for short-term. Doctors need to be educated on this, and some doctors definitely should be fined for keeping patients on this medicine for way too long. Some doctors may truly believe this is good for them, but others may simply not care, because this method of treatment is very lucrative I imagine for the provider. Okay, that's may take. I'm out of here :)
suboxone and subutex are the same. the naloxone in suboxone is basically there to make u sick if you shoot it up. the blocking effect comes from the buprenorphine, not the naloxone. not a bit of difference between the two. look it up.
i cant believe what im reading about u getting the same buzz isnt it about kickin dope, saving ur $ & ur life, getting rid of the struggle.not having to worrie about finding dope being late for evrthg
Suboxone is a great tool in staying clean of opiates, but the big thing is, is that its tuning into a somewhat epidemic. People in my area get on them just to sell and abuse them which really grinds my gears due to the fact my husband is one of the few who actually need it and use it properly.
I'm also from Massachusetts. I have been struggling with addiction since I was put on pain managment at age 16. Due to car accident at age 10, where I had titanium cage put in my lower back and re-constructed wrist. I have been going to a suboxone clinic for over 4 years & can actually say it saved my life. Before that, I was on methadone/ liquid handcuffs A.K.A. goverment H. 160 mgs a day for 2 yrs, and had to quit cold turkey due to me making the wrong choices 2yrs prior. That comes with the life style that I have chosen; kinda comes with the package. I would not wish that on my worst enemy. To each his own though. I'm on 3 suboxones a day 8mgs/2mgs sublingual films/ Strips a day.. A great place in Massachusetts to go for the suboxone treatment is Clean Slate Centers. They don't judge anyone. Also do not care about marijuana usage, in which most places do if that is a concern to anybody on here. here is the phone number for a Clean Slate Centers 413-376-4343. Stay safe and God bless. The struggle never ends.
Ken, are you serious? Did you just complain about being "cut down" from 360 to 300 30mg Roxicets per month? Where do they do that at? If your pain is so severe that 300mgs of Roxicet every day doesn't "do the job", you need to call an addiction specialist now. I had a friend who was taking 16-32 mgs of Dilaudid every day, and I thought he was bad off. I'm not judging you for being addicted to the pills. I have also traveled that road; only it was more narrow. I took 200 mgs of Hydro every single day and I was always out of my mind. I am worried about you. I realize your reply to this post is an old one, but I do hope that you're still alive and with us today!
You need a SUBOXONE doctor and not a SUBUTEX doctor! If you really want the help and not for abuse then! First of all you need something with a blocker in it so when you get the urges to use you won't go seeking it out! Naloxone inhibts any euphoric high that your seeking it out let alone were addicts, in which you can or may think when times get tough especially that you'll just use every once in a blue moon and let's face it were addicts we will think off how to get around things all the time and deff when life gets hard! Because not using our using life will have it rough times! Unless your pregnant your really not going to get tex unless you found a doc that will (lets just say there the mad money seekers) get around things for you! That's experience and just using the suboxone alone with out doing the harder foot work to help stay clean it will not work alone! I know brutally honest but it's so real I've watched a few hundred take that road!
