How Can I Get Subutex Not Suboxone? (Page 13)

I don't know how to go about this as I am shaking and can barely focus, I need help! Please. I fear that my life is going to end from my abuse of opiates. I am currently taking 250 mgs of oxycontin per day. I have a loving fiance and a stepdaughter that I want to be here for. I sit here with cold sweats, and fear going out just because I may make the fearful turn to the meds. Any and all info on how to obtain Subutex would be much appreciated. This wasn't what I wanted my life to be, and I can not let it end this way..Please help me. I am not a religious man but I pray for help as I am at my wits end with this drug.

This is, by far, the most intelligent reply i've seen on here. Hopefully we can eventually step away from this "after school special" view of "drugs" and "addicts." As if life isn't completely geared around our own mental addictions, which all are expressed in the body as biochemical cocktails, consumed by the brain.

When someone posts a question, reaching out for help and support, not a f***ing one of them benefits from the donkey that insults them. A great number of people benefit from Subutex maintenance, and cognitive behavioral therapy of some flavor. No one should feel obligated to sit around degrading and demeaning their selves, for finding their equilibrium. People on Prosac don't cry about being drug addicts, as well they shouldn't. I realize my view on controlled substances seems a little extreme. But, I feel that at the root of every addiction that interferes and destroys lives, is some level of disconnection and despair. Warring on drugs isn't the answer, it's the problem.

Dude I'm n the same position as u.I have hep c and they refuse to give me subutex..u have to b pregnant wtf.I do not understand this BC the naloxone does damage ur liver even further I live in Morristown tn so if u find a Drwho will give subutex or iI find one I will let u know but pls let me know too..I don't wanna b back on drugs but this suboxin is killing us too and that's a fact

Hi varshawna. Yes im alot better on the subs. I was on methadon prior to switching to the subs. Thats why i was withdrawing so bad. My body had to get use to the subs. But im doing so much better now(:ty

Hello, i know this post was quite a bit back, and i really hope that you got the help you needed at the time! I am a recovering opiate addict, in a methadone treatment program, and dose every single day. I know how you feel, any opiate addict has SO been there, and if you want to get better and not struggle with your addiction or being sick every day PLEASE call any and all methadone clinics in your state, (theres usually a waiting list) maybe not tho! you may get right in!!! Follow all directions and PLEASE get help, you will be on a comfortable dose in no time, you will NOT get a euphoria like you would with painkillers, you will however have zero withdrawal symptoms, and high doses of methadone will make you sleepy just like any opiates, but no matter how high the dose of methadone, people try to chase that "euphoria" feeling, and i promise you, its not there. Ive tried and done my research yada yada, BUT it is the BEST thing and #1 life saver of people who do high doses of opiates everyday! For years, I was a secret but "functioning" opiate addict but with only pills! hope this helps! contact me if you need more advice!!

I am on suboxcone and they do the same to me but my doctor won't switch me to subutex unless I'm pregnant? :( I am in the new Lexington ohio area I doctor in Reynolds burg so I'm willing to travel would you by any chance know if any doctors around my area that are taking new patients?

Go online and seek sub prescribers. They are out there...if you don't have success, keep at it...subs do work and they work well...saved my live...

That's what happened to me with suboxone. The first week i was on it my stomach was WRECKED and i had no idea why. I went back to the doc and he gave me the subutex instead. Stomach problems gone. And I have also tried to get loaded while on subs. Like you said, might as well save your money. It's not even worth it.

Man most of y'all apparently don't know what the hell you are talking about. I have been on suboxone and subutex. I prefer subutex. I have been prescribed subutex for almost 3 years now. it's saved my life. I used from the age of 12 till the age of 24. I've been sober for the past 3 years. suboxone doesn't make you sober. you can still partake while on it, just like you can with subutex and they say that subutex doesn't have no option they're full of s***. it does like I said. I've been on it for years and there has been a few times where I Relapsed and tried to take opiates. Guess what, four days later 2000 dollars down the drain still feeling nothing. So yes subutex works just as well as suboxone. To each their own. Certain people react differently. Suboxone makes me sick as hell. I can't take it. Subutex is the best way to go for me.

are u starting to feel better? and dont hesitate to tell your doc if you arent because you def need to be on "enough". i was on a fairly low dose of done when i switched over but since i was a pretty long term H addict, i needed a pretty high dose of subs. good luck to you.

Hi Glor: thanks. Im feeling back to normal now. I was on 45 mgs of done for about 8 mos. lowered my dose down to about 25mgs. Then made the switch last wed to subutex. I waited 72hrs from my last dose and was in w/ds. So i thought i did it right. But all wednesday i was sicker then a dog. I even went to dr and asked if it was normal for me to be that sick. And he told me everyone is different. I wanted to die! But i made it through hell for 3 days. I just kept taking the subutex 8mg in morning and 8 at night.

Jonb: Glad to hear your feeling better. It was pure hell for me too when I switched to Subutex after 10 years of being on Methadone. It did take a long time to kick just as you said. Once you get to your comfort dose you'll be comfortable. You'll know when you hit the right dose. How may Subutex do you take a day? I switched tho to the Suboxone film. It works best for me by splitting my dose throughout the day. My doc has me on 3 Films a day so I take one at 9 am and then another at 12 noon and my 3rd one I take at 5pm. If I take it any later than that I cant sleep at night. If I were to take the 3 Subs at one time they seem to wear off 4-5 hours later. Its the same if I took 3 at a time of 1 at a time. So its best for me to split it up throughout the day. Hope the Subutex works for you. If you log onto suboxone.com they have a lot of beneficial materials to help you through your addiction treatment. I use it daily. Good luck to you!!

Hi. Its been almost 72 hrs and im finally feeling alive. Man i thought i did the switch right. From done to subutex. Everyone says wait 72 hrs and when feeling w/ds. I did that. And it took this long for the subs to kick in. The first couple days were hell. I dont get it. I guess everyone is different.

I am on subutex. Its been 2 days and im barely starting to feel a little better. I went through a couple of horrible days. W/ds were terrible.

Your totally right about that! I was on Methadone for 10 yrs and switched to Subutex but didnt like it and switched to Suboxone. Although I truly wanted to be clean tho. I didnt use at all. Just the Suboxone. Ive been on Suboxone for almost a year now and its been very successful for me. I hope you all the best of luck! :)

Hi,

What state do you live in? All you have to do is google Suboxone doctors in your local area and once into see the doctor just tell him/her that you prefer Subutex. Thats exactly how it worked for me.

I waited 72 hours after my last dose of methadone and 24 hours after my last issue of H I took my first 2 mg of sub at 10 o'clock this morning waiting an hour took two more milligrams waited an hour took two more milligrams and I still don't feel good. Can anyone tell me why. I feel weak and having hot and cold flashes

i was lucky with my doctor. when i started on suboxone, i didnt even realize that there was such a thing as subutex. now i have stomach issues anyway. so when i went back to the dr. to check in after a week of being on the suboxone, i told him it was all good except that my stomach was just wrecked the whole time. he said it was probably the naloxone in the meds, and he switched me over to subutex. i also have hep c, but we did not yet know it at the time that all this happened.
