I have reciently taken a large amount of xanax after abstaining for 4 months. like many I have a drug test coming up. my question is, are there any natural ways to flush it out so the test will be negative?

Okay everyone, here is the FACTS from American Addiction Centers.....

On average, Xanax has an elimination half-life of 9-16 hours. This means that it takes a healthy person’s body this amount of time to get rid of half of a dose of the drug. Therefore, most people will have the substance out of their systems after 4 days.

There are a number of factors that can alter the rate that Xanax leaves the body. These include:

-Metabolism speed
-Height and weight
-Body fat content
-Age
-Health of the liver and/or kidneys
-Amount of the drug taken
-How long the drug has been used

The tests used to detect Xanax in a person’s system are blood tests, urine tests, saliva swabs, and hair follicle analysis. Urine tests are the most commonly used, but the length of time that Xanax stays in this bodily fluid depends largely on how heavy abuse of the drug has been. For occasional users, a urine test will usually not work past 4 days, but in heavy users, it can detect the substance for up to a week.

PLEASE NOTE: CHRONIC, LONG TERM USERS TAKE LONGER AS THE BODY CANNOT RID ITSELF AS QUICKLY AND IT DOES STORE IN FAT AFTER LONG TERM USE...HENCE, THE TOLERANCE LEVEL GOING UP...now everybody quit fighting and giving out answers that are ALL OVER THE PLACE.... this info was corroborated by two other sites; Mayo Clinic and a U.K. study.

You'll be fine. Since you only dosed once, it should flush out in 4-6 days. Chronic users are the people it takes weeks to get out of their system.

Xanx glad life is 11 hours which mean with lots of fluid half of it is out the more you sweat and intake fluids you can have that stuff out of your system and the longest it remains is a week tops without healthy eating fluid pushing and sweating with a good work out.

Yep! Especiallyif u are a frequent user. Though, for some that aren't can still take up to 6 weeks!

I took 4mg of xanax on Thursday morning around 1:30-2 in the morning and just got accepted in a suboxone program and have to have it out of my system before I go or they won't see me and I've waited for over a year to get in. Please give me any advice how to get it out of my system before Saturday morning before 9 in the morning. I'm 6'3 and weigh 210 lbs.

Omg! People! Yes, it can to take up to 6 FN weeks you ignorant people!!! The person who said, "I was able to get 3 years of Xanax out of my system in 6 days!" Lol you are either tall and skinny or are doing other things to speed up your metabolism! That and you are a male!! Whatever the case is, it isn't normal. Therefore, I wouldn't go by that information! Most females take longer to get rid of the drug, so that needs to be considered to. You could be on another drug that slows down your metabolism that and all the 7 factors stated by pros!!!

There are far too many factors in trying to discern the clearence time.Since most are just seeking valid information they probably couldn't give a S&)t about qualifications,Titles or the like.A general timeframe is approx 5 to 7 days following last dose for MOST healthy average size individuals who are moderate regular users of this agent belonging to a group of meds classified as benzodiazepine's.

I dont think it's possible to remove from your system, I believe that benzos take at least 48-72 hours to be out of ur system. Good luck!!

I Think It Depends Really Upon The Amount Of MG's Taken Of Xanax... There's Really No Telling Because I Have Wen't Almost A Month w/out Taking Any & Still Had It Show In A Drug Screen!!!

Please understand xanax has a medium half life of 11 hours or so. But up to 26. All depends on the person really. I am able to get out up to 10 mg in 4 or 5 days. I'm 6 ft 1 and weigh 180.

It def takes 6 weeks bc I just tried to get on methadone and couldn't bc they detected it in my system and it will be 6 weeks tomorrow that I have taken any benzos

It doesn't take 6 weeks to get it out of your system. It takes 3 to 7 days!

Ill never understand the vitriolic contempt that strangers feel for eachother when empathy kindness and compassion are just as easy to exhibit. I suppose misdirected anger and frustration plays a part but can't we all just try and be civil with eachother????! I've took 2 Xanax and 1/2 0f 10 mg. Valium how fast can get this out of my system? I know I can sweat and drink like 2 liters of water a day but whats the shortest amount of time I can get it out

Look xanax has a span of up to 21 days.....not 6 weeks. You can detox and get it out if your system with lots of water within 10 days. You have your normal buys of things to clear your system completely! I myself have a drug screen coming up. I am just going to go to the hospital and hope they give me a xanax to pass for my job. I do not deserve to NOT HAVE A JOB. I RAN OUT OF MY PRESCRIBED KLONOPIN BECAUSE I COULDN'T AFFORD TO GO TO MY DOCTOR. Some people just aren't addicted, they have real life problems and just need the help!

Hi. I really like your feedback I admire you honesty. I have a drug test Monday and I'd like to take one or two xanax on Friday or Saturday. I drink about 8 glasses of hott tea daily and I was curious if you think I'll be good if all I do is drink 8 cups and more of tea all Sunday and some Saturday. If I take one Xanax or two max?

You know what you should just find somewhere else to hang out and share your opinions with! You have no idea what it's like to struggle with a drug problem! Addiction is a serious illness! I think it's a terrible thing that good people who are trying to do their best to live with their illness have to worry about losing their job! Good luck to all of you who are trying!
