How To Find A Doctor That Will Prescribe Xanax In My Area

I was prescribed Xanax in 1992. Five months ago my new PCP changed to Klonopin which is not working. I need help finding a doctor to put me back on my Xanax near Midwest city, OK.

Why isn't the Klonopin working? I have only taken two of them in my life and they seemed to work. I still have 178 of them!

They should work great. Xanax n kpins always worked the best for me. Maybe just try them a bit more. I wish I had that many on hand

I would do anything to get off Xanax. No reason to go back to it if you withdrew successfully.

I have moved and am trying to find a new doctor to continue my treatment. I was put on 200 mg Zoloft a day, 4 x 2 mg Alprozolam a day, 10 mg of Abilify a day, and 2 x 150 mg Trazodone a night at 16 years old. I am 35. I did not realize it would be this hard to go without all of that while waiting to find a new doctor.

I moved to St Paul, MN 10 months ago from Nashville. I’ve been prescribed antidepressants and benzodiazepines over 25 yrs. My doctor in Nashville can no longer prescribe any medications out of state and I’m unable to find a doctor here that believes in prescribing benzodiazepines. Can anyone give me some references? Thanks.

Omg were on the same things. I’m on 200 mg Zoloft, 5 mg Abilify and 8 mg Xanax daily. Now that I left TN and moved to MN I’m not having any luck finding a doctor that believes prescribing xanax can be beneficial

Xanax was designed to treat panic attacks. It has the shortest half life of all the benzos. What this means is that it gets in there quickly and leaves just as fast. Multiple doses are required if used for anxiety because of the short half life. It is an inappropriate medication for simple anxiety because of the roller coaster blood levels. It is extremely difficult to get off of because each dose reinforces the need for it as it briefly tones down anxiety.
