I took one 2mg Klonopin pill Friday evening and I need to know if it will show up on a urine screen this Monday afternoon? I do not take this regularly...it was just a one time thing. Thanks.

It breaks my heart to see someone say, "I LOVE METHADONE!". Hun, you don't know what you have gotten yourself into. It is the worst possible drug you can rely on. I am not saying you are stupid by ANY MEANS. I am just saying, when you go to come off of it you will not be able to. I have been on it for ten years and I thought it was the answer to all of my problems and now I am 100lbs overweight, at the methadone clinic every day dosing, my teeth are going bad, and my life is a mess. I was addicted to VICODIN.....four pills a day and got very sick without them and a doctor suggested Methadone maintenance!!!!!!!!!!! I have only every made it 9 days in ten years without the s***. So I am telling you out of pure love, you are messing with the devil and not to be crude but it is going to f*** you in the ass with a sideway two by four at the end of the day! Stop while you can, might be too late by now, I don't know but you are "in LOVE" with the wrong substance. If you are taking it for pain, there are other things, you need to sit down and talk to a doctor about you because being on this stuff, your chances of ever getting clean are less than 1%. It goes to your bone marrow and attaches itself there and on to your spinal cord. You will be saturated with it in a month of steady dosing and so when you try to quit it literally takes months, but you most likely won't make it more than a few days without relapsing. FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO LOVE! IT ALMOST MADE ME PUKE WHEN I SAW YOUR POST! "I LOVE METHADONE!" God help you!

Pat: I also go to the clinic, almost 4yrs..I take 3-4mgs per day of klonapin, every day..I've been pee tested and it's never shown up..the others, I'm sorry to say I don't know..the klonapins are the only thing that works for me..Thank You for Your Bravery on the Battlefield..You Are A HERO and I hope things get better..

To each his own. Methadone saved my life. Ever since my car accident in 2002 where I broke 53 bones, crushed and partially severed my left foot, broke my left femur in 14 places and many other leg and arm fractures, I was in the hospital in I.V morphine for 2 months. 10 months of healing and HELL, pain, physical therapy, I finally walked again. I was 19 and knew NOTHING of "pain managment" and my Dr's told me to have a nice life and didn't refill my oxy script. No detox, no pain meds, no knowledge, I turned to the street where I found heroin. It was HELL. I got clean for 5 years and tried every non-narcotic, natural, holistic thing under the sun. I tried suboxone 4 times ( I'm allergic to it). I googled methadone clinics and drove 100 miles with nothing but hope. 2 years later I've had very few relapses. I left the sober house after a year and rent a room with my boyfriend. I don't "Love" methadone, but I do LOVE not waking up in the morning sick, or in pain, or broke, or in jail. It's situational. Everyone's story is unique and everyone's recovery will be different.

Pat, I severed my spine in a car accident in 1993 and have had 7 major spinal surgeries in the 4 years after the life changing car accident. I have been judged far too many times by people that have no idea what it is like to suffer from severe chronic pain 24/7/365. No one truly understands unless they, too have suffered chronic pain, and a root canal or the like doesn't count. I appreciate your service to our country and if you are still suffering pain, why are you worried what anyone thinks about you taking Methadone or any other pain med that helps you function in your life. You still work a very mentally demanding job and people like Ryan are completely out of line, uninformed and clueless about how difficult it is to be a productive person (father, brother, husband, son, friend, employee, etc.) while suffering from chronic pain. Stay the course buddy and just blow off people that know not what you endure. I wish you the best!!!

Its on u to get off! Been on it for 8 years, itsaved my life!! I was at 125mg plus took 3 two mg pins a day. Quit pins over a year ago & only take 20mg of done a day now & will b done with it before the snow flies. So to the people that say they can't quit it because they don't want to. Pain you say. 2 docs said I would never walk right again! Now I out run my 17 year old. Ride a peddle bike daily. Grow a pair. Do pysical therapy, & always believe in you. Cuz only you can do it!!

what most people have to realize if you are prescribed to klonis and jus abused it and want to know if the higher amount will show up. The answer 90 percent of the time is no. Most urine lab analysis' are testing to see what substances are found in the urine, and not the actual level. But if you aren't prescribed and took s***, good luck I myself am trying to figure out how long klonopin stays in ur system. I'm prescribed, but i abused it for the first timein a while on Saturday night and took 12 mgs. Boy, did I feel nice lol. Anyway I'm taking a urine sample for my job, and know that I have nothing to fear my job knows I'm prescribed to benzodiazepines, which is my klonopin generic name clonazepam. Blood tests which I know substances stay in the blood shorter than in ur urine i think test levels, or they definitely can do it with ur blood. There probably is a way to test levels of a substance in ur urine but I've never been urine toxined where they measure the levels. I'm sure there is a way t o do it, but it probably is very expensive and most labs don't want to waste there money on something that is really not that important. Sorry, if I'm not answering any questions for anyone, I'm kinda just ranting. But I would like to know if anyone on this board has ever been measured for levels of a substance from a urine toxin? To answer someones questions about the 10 mg of klonopin, If it was a one time thing, and you drink a s*** load of water and have a high metabolism, low body fat, fairly active, it may only stay in your system 3 to 5 days. Possibly a little shorter. But unfortunately, one thing i do know is that the half life of klonopin lasts anywhere from 18 to 30 something hours, so it's deff one of those benzos that last in ur system for a while. I know valium lasts the longest in ur sytem in the benzo family. Or as I was told by a nurse with a masters degree that was in the same rehab as me when I got really bad. If you take a prescription everyday and did 10 mg also depending on your physicalities and metabolism and water intake, it could last in your system for weeks, maybe even a month. It all depends. Sorry I jus needed to rant. I hope I was helpful at least in some bit.

I'm Jenny. I wear a fentanyl patch (50mcg), and am prescribed klonopin (1 mg 3xday) and oxycondone (15mg 3xday). I'm scared because I had major panic attacks this month and I haven't the klonopin I should to test positive. does anyone knoe if it stays in the system, and for how long?

Learn to deal with your own judgmental tendencies and maybe you will find a little compassion for others "beneath you" apparently. May your world continue to be filled with those as flawless as yourself and that you never deal with deaths of friend who couldn't confide in those as flawless as you seem to believe yourself.

The half life of clonopin is 30-40 hours. The half life of a drug indicates how long it stays active in your system, i.e. stays in your urine. For a blood test it's going to take twice as long to clear itself out of your blood, it's whole life, which is approx 60-80 hrs. It does depend on your metabolism and how quickly your body cleans out your system. I don't know about the oral drug test. It may take longer than urine, it may be faster. For the methadone guy, I'm on methadone too, I know that people don't just use methadone because they're addicts, I have severe issues with my stomach and for years I couldn't eat and pain pills were the only thing that were helping me function, barely. I threw up everything I ate, and no matter what I was prescribed, Phenergan, Zofran, pot, etc I still couldn't hold down food, people were thinking that I was shoving my fingers down my throat until they saw me put shame to the exorcist chick after eating w me. I just dealt with the pain by eating oxys like candy, and even that stopped helping. I was 94lbs for 4 years, then my recent ex let me try some of his methadone and I ate the first meal that I held down in years. I went to the clinic that week and I've been on methadone since. My mom is totally against it, but she's a dry addict who has to go to meetings daily after being sober for "5 years" I caught her using. I'm pretty sure she's jealous because she's not allowed to take methadone. As for that kid, don't let him get to you, for all we know he might be on it next year and ends up staying on it for the rest of his life, karma comes back.

You should try switching to suboxone instead of the dealing with the methadone clinic. It's a difficult transition but it works a billion times better. Drug test once a month, tops. Lasts longer so I NEVER wake up sick! It's a regular script so there's no waiting in line or dealing with BS every day just to get your medication. Suboxone helps me stay focused on my life, helps with my anxiety, keeps me "normal ". It's not easy . but I don't know one person who switched, that didn't wish they'd done it sooner.
