Hi Steve,
Based on my research, if you took just one, then it should be out of your system within about 48 to 72 hours. If you have been taking it regularly, it could take longer. My suggestion is to drink lots of fluids and eat plenty of fruits and vegetables to help flush it out of your system faster.
Are you hoping to get Suboxone out of your system by any specific time?

Subs have a half life, so it will take longer. If you take 2 mg it will take up to 36 hours to get rid of 1 mg and 36 more hours to get rid of the other 1 mg.. that is what I have been reading every where.

You actually have this concept of half lifes wrong. If you have taken 2mg and it takes 36 hrs to get 1/2 out. Which is 1mg, it will take another 36hrs to get rid of half of whats left. So 1/2 mg. Then 1/4; then an 1/8; and so on.....Thats how half lives work. I believed it worked the way you do, until a specialist explained it to me fully.

I know that I took an 8 mg suboxone strip on Friday afternoon and by Tuesday morning it was out of my body. I did drink plenty of fluids... so it takes about 72 hrs without fluids and anywhere from 48-72 with plenty of fluids... I hope this helps someone....

It will mess up your antistetic as well as pain pills unless its been at least a week since you have took anything. I know this because I had to do the same thing.

It is long acting. I've been on suboxone for 3 months - 8mg split in half a day. I took last strip 8 days ago. Still comes up for my doctor. She said that's normal for up to 2-3 weeks. This is the rehab drug dr specialist. And after the 6th day started mild withdrawal that seems to be getting worse. My eyes still pin point.

I've been taking Suboxone for 4 years. For a year and a half I was on 4 mgs, then 2 mgs, and now I'm down to one. My doctor kept writing scripts and I continued to see him although it should've just been a 6-month program. So anyway, how long approximately will Suboxone be in my chemistry? I don't abuse drugs, so I wouldn't care if it shows up in a urine test. I just want out and back to Lyrics for main pain control. Thanks so much!!!!

I've been titrating off subutex for about 6 weeks maybe more but I took a little different approach to it because it was just easier that way but I've taken one 8mg tablet on average of every 4 days because that's how I took them just when I couldn't bare it anymore, but how long should it take for that one subutex be the only thing in my system since it takes an average of three to four days to run its course, I've been on them for over two yrs but not everyday, it started out every other day and on down from there, so I'm trying bro figure out when I can stop with out a lot of withdrawal symptoms
