How Long Before I Take Second Suboxone (Page 3) (Top voted first)

Am trying to kick heroin. Took half of an 8mg suboxone after experiencing 18 hrs of withdrawals. That did the trick. It has now been 13 hrs since I took the fist dose. Am now wondering how long do I wait before I take a second dose of suboxone? Will I need to wait until I go through withdrawals again or what? A speedy reply will be greatly appreciated.

I've been on H for a yeat now. I do about a gram a day. Im ready to stop. But i plan on detoxing at home with suboxone. I'm gone thro dextox before so i know bout how to take them. Im trying to make a schedule for home. I know to waite about 24 hours from my last shot before taking my first sub. but should i take another 8 mg the second time i take one?Then what? Can anyone help me with this schedule???? Please. I can't go set in another detox.

I took 1/4 of suboxen yesterday before full withdrawal from vicoden would I have precipitated withdrawal already if it was gonna happen and when should I take it again

I do 2 bags a day i jst gt 4 8mg of suboxone. Film how should i take it should i cut it up r wat?

Slot say 24 hrs but I only wait 6 hrs and am fine.so it depends on the person

ARI....thank you for your info. I've been taking about 80 mg a day of percs.....sometimes more. I started 7 years ago, due to an injury and somehow I let these darn things start controlling my life. I'm MORE than ready to kick this habit. I was able to get 3 strips, 8 mg, of suboxone and was Hopi g that would be enough to kick this habit. My family has no idea I'm addicted.....so I'm trying to do this at home without him knowing. Can u give me an idea of a time "schedule" as to when to take them, how much and for how long? Thanks in advance!

I agree, I'm up to 10 Vicodin 10's a day and I took two Vic's in the AM and a 1/4 strip about 5pm last night and was fine... trying to wean off!

Everyone is absolutely different. I took 40$ worth of dope yesterday. I ended up falling asleep, and I woke up sweating. Then came the chills. I couldn't believe I was already dope sick. So I took an 8mg strip....And was completely fine. Didn't send me into rapid withdrawal.

Hey I loved your advice however I am doing an at home use of Suboxone to get off the grip of Methadone I've been on for 4 years and even oxys that grab me almost 15 years ago. The problem at the clinic I was going is they absolutely do NOT help to getting you off. They say to ween and I did both a jump off AND a ween but both landed me in the hospital as the withdrawal was too much. This time I am fully ready and got ahold of two strips to help. I don't have the money for detox/rehab/Dr so I really am on my own. I just want to know if two strips will be enough and why I still can't sleep after taking 3 little pieces (about 3mg) last night. I mean I fall out but for like 10 minute increments and I feel exhausted. Is this normal? Mind you I stopped at 19mg methadone. I just want to finally be free of ALL drugs and I feel trapped in the worst cycle with the methadone then ever before. I did a hard three weeks in and out of hospital last time after weening down to two.

Do some of y'all not friggin realize that A: taking subs for a couple days won't get you off with no withdrawal, since after the opiates + sub is out your system you're gonna be in withdrawal again... l say this because many of my past friends would say "oh I copped a few strips, they'll get me off dope in one weekend!" Or some nonsense like that... and B: coming off sub or even methadone cold turkey is exponentially worse than if you'd just stop slamming dope... Just my $0.02 ...speaking from personal experience.

I normally take a half in the morning and a half a night.... or every 12 hours

U are supposed to wait till ur in withdraw bc if you are not it will throw you into withdraw rather than curing the symptoms.
You made your self sick by not waiting.

I was prescribed 3 8mg subatex a day. I took one around 930 or ten am. Want to take another one. Is it okay?
The pharmacist said to take them every 8 hrs. That seems like a long time and I am aching in back and legs.
Was taking 5 30MG oxycodone daily. Actually 6 and ran out early. Thus subatex.

here is my deal. sorry if things are misspelledor kind of hard to understand due to what I've been though the past 24 hours, with that being said June 27th 2017 was my last dose of methadone 120mg. let me back up about 3 weeks prior i say a SUBOXONE DOCTOR AND HAD THIS SCHEDULE. SO THE SUB doc gives me bloodpressure medication,Tramadol,along with,a few klonopin, and of corse m first 14 subs. Ok fast forward to yesterday. GO TO THE SUB DOC HAVE NOT HAD ANT METHADONE SINCE TUESDAY ITS NOW FRIDAY SO3 DAYS OF JUS WHAT THE PRESCRIBED ME MINUS THE SUBS. TAKE 8MGBUP/2MG OF NALOXONE. ABOUT TEN MINUTES FULL BLOWN PRESCRIPTION WITHDRAW. PLEASE BE CAREFUL I ENDED UP IN THE HOSPITAL I ALMOST DIED.
JUST A LITTLE LIST OF MY SYMPTOMS AND SORRY FOR THE CAP-LOCK! I CAN BARELY LIFY MY HANDS. IMAGINE HAVING THE WORSTE ACID TRIP POSSIBLE. GOOSEBUMPS, PORING SWEAT OUT OF EVERY PORE IN MY BODY! So I last took h about 22 hours ago I took half an 8mg sub tab about 18 hours prior to my last dose of opiates and didn't feel anything should I take the other half or wait? Any help is appreciated I'm at work and have minor widthdrawls the half of sub helped a little but not what I needed

Suboxone is an antagonist meaning it rips the agonist opiates (heroine, oxycodone, hydrocodone, oxymorphone, fentanyl, etc) from your receptors which causes the withdrawal. If you have "Suboxone" not Subutex it has buprenorprin and naloxone (antagonist/opiate blocker) you get very little naloxone from sublingual usage and all of it if injected. Even a little nalaoxone won't feel good with heroin or pervs, viks, etc in your system. If you take Suboxone too early it pulls the other stuff off your receptors. However, depending on how much and how long ago you took the other stuff you can take another dose of Suboxone about 8-12 hours later to feel better/good/normal. It's a risky gambel unless you don't mind experiencing "rapid detox". Suboxone is also used for addiction because you can't take 1 every hour to increase euphoria unlike oxycodone, hydrocodone and all the other crap that does and is highly addictive but prescribed more than buprenorphren for pain.. My point is patience will significantly benefit you to where you feel good and yes even experience mild euphoria, motivation, energy, better moods you would from the other stuff. Suboxone lasts longer than heroin and the 4-6 hour pain pills (accept extended release used properly) Dr dealers give like so wait.

In order to take the sub again you need to wait at least till you feel like you need to used not you want it only when u need the heroin because if you used and it got thru that means its in your system and once you take that sub its going to kick EVERYTHING STRAIGHT OUT AND YOU WILL SPIRAL INTO THE WORST WD YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE normally 12-24 hours after your last bag

Because of the makeup of suboxone your body is unable to become tolerant. Subs are used to help with withdrawals and also as a mainlanders medication to help with cravings. It has been a miracle for me!
